I am so sorry to hear about this.I have been taking care of the elderly for years so I dont get how the staff got away for so long without turning him every 2 hours,cleaning him or providing him food and administering his meds.My Dad is in a home now and I keep an eagle eye on him.I'm glad that I know how things are supposed to go.I feel for these famalies and their loved ones.They need to be shut down by the state.

I am so sorry to for your lose and even more for the abuse that your father suffered. My father and his sister both were in nursing home. When I began to inquire and complain the nursing home facility had me arrested. Allegedly one of the administrators son was police officer. I was barred from property for 2 years while waiting for a trial. I would not plead quilty to charges. I eventually won the case but during he interim my father died.

I cant believe that people could do this. I am a nurse and have seen the effects of bad care in resthomes and have had to say to familys you need to get him out of there.

I think the bad care comes down to the facilities not educating there carers around basic cares and the nurses in these homes also not educating the health care assistants and not overseeing what they are doing.

It makes me very upset . I go to Nursing school in germany. It brings me alot of joy n i luv what i do. Sad to seet how some Nurses can be so heartless .

i had to pull my dad out of 2 nursing homes and one residential care home in houston before finding a good nursing home. the workers are paid at the bottom of the scale and have no incentive.

This is so sad. I work in a lovely resential care home and am currently making a documentary of Nursing Home Abuse and found this very interesting.
