  • Great music to awaken and activate the mind. Improves active listening and attention span. May induce powerful thoughts.

  • this sounds like froking great !

  • awesome under riffs these boys been around from the get go,them and aphex destroy there own genre

  • this album is one of the most relaxing things to hit me.

  • Autechre - The Egg is a cracker also

  • then Black Dog Productions-- Bytes

  • i always end up playin Pilote - Up Or Down after this :)

  • makes me wanna dig out my SH-101

  • i'm curled around my subwoofer and i can't stop smiling.

  • stunning

  • If Bach or Beethoven were the people of the 20/21st century they would make music like this!

  • ...next up, follow me here: afx - vbs.redlof.b

  • @Smo1k (if you came from Bassnectar, that is)

  • @Smo1k L0L From Bassnectar to Autechre? Doesn't even compare.

  • @Conkern65 I don't remember the exact connection. I was messing up a conversation (drunk, of course :s), where I was pointing out some the history of certain elements in the music to a friend. I think, I was making a point about the bass in Nil and the comb-shaped synth sound in Timestretch, but frankly: I don't remember ;)

  • @Smo1k HaHa!! I came from single celled organism...what is this Bassnectar doing here?

  • when i get my car (tomorrow) im going to make a cd with all autechre, aphex, boc, and just drive around at night by myself like a creep listening to it over and over....

  • @kendallbob That is the very reason I want a car!!!

  • @kendallbob You forgot The Flashbulb.

  • @kendallbob obsessmuch? lol

  • @kendallbob Take me with you

  • I think this was one of their best albums. It had such a focused emotional storytelling sound to it.

  • autechrist4lief :P

  • I have a lot of memories with my friends when we smoked weed , and in background playing this music ... NOSTALGIC FLIGHTS

  • i love how this music has the unique ability to take me in a state of dissociated bliss..... of no anxiety... of no connection to the monotony of daily events... just floating... in appreciation of all that is. I love Autechre

  • It's simple. Beat. Bass. It moves me.

  • Meticulous & faultless compositions that have and will continue to stand the test of time whilst pleasing the forever changing ears of the generations to come. These 2 guys write soundtracks that paint the birth and death of the universe. Saying that some times there is a need to hear some drum machines falling down an M C Escher impossible staircase. They do that well too :)

  • Reminds me of the Goldeneye game for n64

  • fuck any other thing

  • Soundtrack of my life.....Excellent!!! It´s full of love!

  • i saw them in Ljubljana (Slovenia) 2 years ago, they always completely turn the lights down so that your hearing is better, you dont need to wach a thing when your listening to those 2 guys,, ouuu yeahhhh and i just want to mention that i thought i was on acid listening to those melodys, wonderful experience, i have to see them live again

  • do caralho!

  • Евалато , бате за тоя албум Амбер !!!

  • Masterpiece ! greets for all who appreciate Autechre's work =]

  • I was never really sure if I liked Autechre until I heard this track.

  • Reminds me of being 16, thinking I was too cool for school, out robbing HMV so we could fence playsations n chart DVD's for warp records and skunk.

  • 2 dislikes? hold you head in shame!!

  • wonderful tune. full stop.

  • love to have this in my vinyl collection <3

  • @konjunktion26 Derp!

    J/K Later =]

  • Some people think this kind of music sounds like it's for robots or other science fiction related things, and they're entitled to their opinions, but to me this sounds more like the soundtrack to nature.

  • @FlightlessCoyote its both. natural systems (humans) made something unnatural. Story of our existence bruh

  • infact why did i waste my time on that. AUTECHREEEEE!!!!!!

  • Why do people always go on about being intelligent to listen to Autechre? You either like it...or you don't. Intelligence has nothing to do with it. Personally, I love them.

  • @pob808 maybe what they mean is it sounds sophisticated. yah, more like that right?

  • @m1kewithaone Yeah, it does sound sophisticated... ...but the listener doesn't have to be intelligent to listen to it - they just need to like it. Some people have commented that people lack the intelligence to understand it just because a person doesn't like it

  • @pob808

Lol, there are alot of intelligent beeings who think this music is crap.

    How wrong they are!!

  • @pob808 yes thanks pob808, silverside is the one! but, now that i've heard so much more of autechre during my search, i think i'm hooked! :)

  • @m1kewithaone Bike by Autechre is pretty nice too, in my opinion. Sorry about the late response, mate. C:

  • Seriously...how is this song so good. It puts me in an unearthly state of mind.

  • @Intelectual95 don't know if troll, or very stupid =-=

  • Yeah, this is my favorite track on here.

  • 2 people are Nil

  • nothing can touch this....pure genius of electroickery eleck-trickery..cheeers

  • Besides being excellent, this was totally inspired by the music of the Terminator franchise.

  • 409 likes, 2 dislikes

the majority was never so sensitive and intelligent.

  • om nom nom trollli soup :3

  • this is how Chuck Norri's heart sounds :P

  • Can´t find a taste on Autechre but this is mindblowing

  • dont feed the troll. enjoy the fucking music!

  • i can't tell you how much i love this track it's really incredible

    thanks for uploading :)

  • @truthfilter I see you commenting and/or listening to some of the most unusual stuff on youtube, much like I do. kudos. :}

  • @AmandaWolfie amanda, if you can find out what the name of the 3rd song on this c.d. is please let me know, 'cause it's one that i just have to hear again...

  • @m1kewithaone Silverside is the 3rd track on Amber

  • @AmandaWolfie yeah :D this is truly amazing!! i love experimental music

it's got far more depth and qaulity to it than the mainstream garbage

i think alot of this amazing stuff would sadly go undiscovered if it wasn't

for youtube :D kudos to you too!!

  • Just found it on YT. Am I losing the plot? watch?v=tO4o5VjZ6BY&feature=related

  • The sinister keyboard intro at 0:39 appears to be the same intro from the old martial arts flick Shogun. Which this sound kicks in on Shogun it's time to hide. Both brilliant works or art.

  • This track is reason nr. 32 why I think Ae is the best thing that ever happened to Music.

  • so moving! the nostalgia is toooo much. one word prefix whatever AWE!!!!

  • Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa intense!

  • So wish they'd go back to making classics like Incunabula and Amber. Best electronic music ever.

  • I Belieb Beiber is Beiber than this.

  • @Intelectual95 hahaha! you are so funny! :)

  • @fs200 he spammed this on all the autechre videos, its funny he thinks this is helping his case.

intelligence is a poor indicator of wisdom it seems

  • @fs200 Lol once i took an IQ test and got 200 - A single-question IQ test on an iPhone!

    u're cool!

  • @Intelectual95 go back to your Justin Bieber collection mate and leave the good music to the ones who know.

  • @Intelectual95 go back to your Justin Bieber collection mate and leave the good music to the ones who know.

  • l like that copy paste from your afx comment...smart one

  • @Intelectual95 dude, what

  • @Intelectual95 You have an IQ of 170 yet you can hardly spell properly

  • @Intelectual95 :D are you leaving this comment everywhere?

  • @Intelectual95 listen2U2(P)ride

  • @Intelectual95 Dude, that was a pregnancy test. Congrats, you're in your 170th day lol.

  • @Intelectual95 lolwut

  • @Intelectual95 hahaha you just proved what an idiot you are. there are hundreds of genres of music, TO EACH HIS OWN. i like a7x, but i also love stuff like this, and aphex twin, and wintersleep. have some respect, jeez.

  • @Intelectual95 Its been known that people who brag about their IQ usually don't have an IQ much higher than 110. Plus, I doubt that band could actually THINK of a song like this, and being able to think up a song like this is a very good job anyway.

  • @Intelectual95 aren't nerds supposed to have the high IQs?? With a score of 170 you must love "bleepy bloop shit.."

  • @Intelectual95 Playing an instrument? How do you define the word instrument? It's just a device that you can manipulate. You have to know how. Avenged Sevenfold didn't make their instruments. They simply know how to manipulate them. You have to know what button to push. You have to understand synthesis and composition. I Personally feel electronic music is the greatest representation of the self. The celebration of man and his devices. Easy to learn but tough to master.

  • @Intelectual95 Do you relise that IQ test has noting to do with being smart or dumb.

and you cant appericate music on any level, i listen to everything under the sun. Youv lost touch with what music is really about. or maybe u have some growing up to do. Dont be so ignorant.

  • @Intelectual95 IQ 170? Then why can't you spell real/really (no idea what you were going for, Mr Hawking) or you, omit the word 'to' as you see fit, misspell actually, their, I'm and anyway?

    ALL IN THREE SHITTING PARAGRAPHS

  • @wonderfulwomp dude, he's trolling and you're feeding him

  • Beautiful track!

  • love amber

  • 1:37

  • the high pitched synth coming in at 4:38 almost forcing itself into your ears like a tinnitus really reminds me of "halcyon" by orbital using a similiar effect.

  • amazing tune, the drop it top notch!

  • i bet you could mix up 10 different autechre tracks and not have a single overlaping note!.. totaly mini-me-listick :P

  • like living in the world of JG Ballard - so cold so distant yet so good

  • i think i want this played at my funeral.

  • really the best

  • We play this every time we smoke.

  • @MrTeaHSee I bet not every time, or you must be very board of it by now :p XD

  • @maradnus Actually you would of thought so. But, no. We played it literally every time. Amber is the most trippiest album to listen too while stoned. :) But I have since moved on. :)

  • this is cool

  • This is fucking ridiculous! :D Autechre is the shit!

  • this one sounds good :)

  • EXISTENCE IS LOVE

  • Aahh :)

Hung over like eff! (Company sponsored binge ;) )

This is just what the doctor ordered.

    :)

  • brilliant nothing else

  • *this is not a real comment i am too busy absorbing these wonderfull sounds*

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUU!!!

  • nice song

  • this song for me was a defining moment in the history of my musical understanding

  • @RamzGT do you also enjoy electronical classical music like Varese and Stockhausen?

  • @AMPFEAST I have never heard of those artists, although I do enjoy classical music from an early age of course. I would like it if u sent me a message and maybe some videos about these artists. Thanks :)

  • Listening to this high is an experience unlike any other you have been on.

  • @sexypersian22 just thinking the same thing

  • check my channel if you love idm and experimental electronica

  • this music is good for homework. I came here for Prefuse 73 and someone made a mix with this other music on youtube. I love this playlist.

  • one of the best songs from the album

  • fett fett mega tune!!

    *LG*

  • If you get a chance read any of the Frank Herbert Dune novels while listening to Autechre (especially the Amber album). The music almost seems to be created for a world such as Dune.

  • @noirtriptyline

Wow...thanks a lot. I am a hardcore Dune fanatic and I love the music of autechre.

    I expect Something wonderful...*expecting-sth-wonderful*

  • @noirtriptyline

Holy shit... That's a cracking suggestion haha. I'm gonna try that.

  • quite possibly my favourite album of all time. (close between this and aphex twins SAW 85-92)

It just never gets old no matter how hard i try to play it to death

  • @porpsi You are so right. So well said...Indeed Aphex Twin is another musical-mastermind.THey will NEVER get old!

  • @porpsi a lot of 90s IDM is like that, but anything aphex will usually be like that for me. except for RDJ album, the only song that didn't get stale for me was yellow calx.

I'm getting into autechre, should I start with this album or the one before it? they both have amazing songs on them.

  • I think you should start with the "Incunabula" album, which is one of the best in my opinion.

  • @VideoKiwi2008 I tried listening to some Oversteps, but personally most of their post-Amber work to me sounds like an electronic bowel movement, but I do like Quastirice (or however you spell it)

  • @Kscorps2

i think this one stood the test of time better than the first which does sound a little dated in places.. still a great album though. chiastic slide and tri repeatae are equally amazing, though they seemed to suffer from a bit of plot loss after that, started making albums with a few hidden gems on them instead of the album itself being a hidden gem.

  • @Kscorps2 incunabula

  • Perfect !

  • Favourite LP ever! There is no sound I don't know now. No more surprises.

However I still love it. Beautiful.

  • It sounds 10 times better high! WOW

  • Autechre always puts me in the mind of interstellar travel some how...

  • I reached the stars with salvia divinorum and THAT music... it was... nothing an all in the same time...

  • This is such a deadly song [:

  • one of my favourtie ae lps!

  • AUTECHRE. The first time I heard their tracks i was amazed...speechless.I instantly felt a bond to their magnificent creation, which still is available this day. AE FOREVER!!! 5/5

  • Mystic. It draws me to it and i'm not sure why or what i mean.

  • the othe rtrack on this album is great..track #1..cant remember the title..that one kicks asssss..

    classic album by the way..

Tri Repetae is up there as well.

  • "foil"

  • Gruuuuuuwelijk!!!!

  • Why isn't there "Slip" anywhere :(

    There's only the reversed version..

  • @Yaolo Hey! Dont tal ksh*t bout the reversed version, its good.

I know its not uploaded though. But use you're braion, go download Audacity or Goldwave and REVERSE it back to normal ;) (it requires to to DL the Reversed Sliop track, you cna use YouTube MP3 Converter(FREE NON-TRAIL VERSION IS BEST!) and then remeber you can extend quality by adding &fmt=18 at the end of video URL, higher audio quality(sometimes, you can hear yourself..) then you can reverse it, just helping ya'

  • Thanks for the help, but I already got it in CD and mp3 version, I was just wondering why it wasn't uploaded anywhere yet, no big deal, and I like the reversed version too :>

  • No problem. If you bought the CD and it broek then i guess you have right to get this, espseically if you reallyl ike the track. againt no problem just wanna help.

  • @Yaolo upload it so

  • this album is just sound....great memeories. fucking wicked atmospheric tune reminds me of sitting in a cold car with loads of condensation smoking a fat one.

  • sad sound

  • the third eye foundation
