Akkineni Nageshwar Rao acted in the Telugu version. Even though he did good, I like the song picturisation in this version. Each part of the song/praise/prayer comes after he sees and realizes the emotional ecstasy.

Even if Dr Raj acted with a blank mask, still he would have excelled just for the way he has so effortlessly sung this "Raagamaalika" comprising of : Hamsadwani, Kaapi, Hindola, Kalyani, Aarabhi, Bhairavi and Mohan raagas !!!! His diction and pronouncement will make any sanskrit scholar proud ! what a personality!!! thats why we can never miss him- - Mannari
