my friend told me to never get rock shox and stick with fox...... apperently he said these were notorious for blowing up? please correct me if i am wrong....

@NorcalDHer theyre pretty simillar...all you need to do is update the internal components and they there you go 2010 in 2009 looks.

actually no you are completely wrong. The stanchions of the 2010 are 35 and 2009 in 32. The rebound on the 2009 is a normal rebound adjuster. and the 2010 has dual rebound. and the 2010's hav mission control and the 2009's don't. All of these cannot be put on a 2009 instead.

is air as good as coil for front shocks. I was considering it as coil forks always come with the wrong spring stifness from stock. WIth air i would be able to get them super soft for small bumps which is harder to acheive with coil

really rock shox is more sensible than fox in my personal opinion i like rock shox the most. And you can even compare the rock shox team with the 40 rc2. Just imagine the rockshox world cup and the new one its just amazing

ehhhh fox is better....but if you dont have the money for fox, rockshox is the second choice i've been through 2 of the boxxers and looking forward to fox rc2 40's. boxxers is only what 7 1/2 in travel and fox rc2 40 is 8in

its Truvativ's direct mount stem for the Boxxer . it will be released same time as the 2010 fork.

@duckweed1234 because they are sponsored by SRAM.And Boxxers are lighter than most forks.But they do not work that good.They were untill 2004-05 models.If you ask me the best downhill fork is Marzocchi 888 04.It works ten times better than the boxxers and has better adjustments.

YUP why does everyone think fox 40's are the bomb. If you look at any knew 2010 bike you can see that the best down hill bike that the company makes has boxxer world cups. I got them and they are SICK.
