Beat those terrorist asses ..dont be lame, Mullah ..do like Israel ..anyone that protests is arrested ..take all children 12+ and lock them up for 2 years ..bomb the water treatment plants and make the people depend in the state to bring water-trucks by ..wall them up .. kill any fishermen ..kill farmers ..THEN ..brag about giving them food..! they should be executed to me they dont like iran if they claim they like iran why r they protesting when they know that the goverment told them not to protest they r not obeying the law and order of the country if u know protesting is gonna bring violence why the fuck r u protesting?why assholes why?????????????????? dont divide everybody instead keep everybody united please................................................................
They're protesting for their freedom genius. They're protesting because they believe (as well as the rest of the world) the election was a hoax. And it their gov't that divided them. It's obvious by the sheer mass of ppl that the election was BS. What would you do if you were in their shoes. Don't tell you'd just go hide in your house because that's the impression I'm getting.
Just for the record, Gore won a majority of the popular vote. However, Bush won the election through fraudulent means, such as disenfranchising voters, and by having the Supreme Court mess with Florida's recount of their votes. Also, it's bullshit that Bush won even though Gore won the popular vote by a margin of 540,000 votes.
I was unaware that Bush had voters disenfranchised, thank you for that info. I know that bush losing the popular vote but wining the electoral vote is BS but it was caused by laws each state acting independently put into place, that isn't an act of fraud it's an act of law, the laws maybe BS but we are a nation of law & must adhere to them, even if the results are not what the people wanted.
If you read Bush v. Gore, you'll find there were two issues to be decided. 1 Was there an equal protection violation because different methods were being used to count votes in different FL counties and 2. how should the process proceed? The court was 7-2 that there was an equal protection violation. It was 5-4 in its decision to uphold Harris certification of Bush as winner. It was not fraudulent.
Jeb Bush did not tell 7 of the 9 Justices to agree that there was an equal protection violation. That was what the vote was. The 5-4 part of the decision was about how the state of FL should proceed in light of the equal protection violation.
Actually smartass, I was in the Navy. But what can I do? Honestly, what can I do even if I wanted to? At that time he was my Commander In Chief, so there was nothing I could do. Only thing I decided to do was not fight for my country anymore because Bush go re-elected. There was really no reason for you to come at me sideways anyway because that comment had nothing to do with you. Tryin to come out of left field like you're saying something. Bitch please
hardprick, you are a messed up piece of shit. what are you doing in the united ststed if you like the Islamic regime so much you piece of shit? go live in the regime which will lash you all over for the mosr basic bahaviors based on human rights. people like u should be found and thrown out of here and sent to live under taliban in caves. u need to be treated based on islamic laws which you cherish and then we will see if u wil still open your toilet of a mouth. you criminal, piece of pig shit .
The US get's hated if we get involved to help the people, and if we don't, then people attack us fro not getting involved. It's completely ridiculous how a revolution seems to be terrible, even though the government isn't doing it's job.
It is sad I do not believe the revolution will come to anything. Iran will go into dictatorship like the nazis. Their spiritual leader should not be there supreme leader. For me I would abolish those clerics from running a country. I also believe he selects the candidates. If he choses the candidates why bother have a revelotuion if you have already been under a dictatorship. The people that have died in these protests my heart and prayers go to them as christian. REAL REAL Freedom for Iran
terror free democracy had a poll before the election which stated Ahmaninajad was going to win the election with 2-1 margin....yes you guested thats the margin that actually gave him the win..hopefully their are open minded & good americans in this country that would look at the facts before they judge.
Kharrobi (one of the lesser known candidates) had 70% of the vote in 2005 in his hometown of Lorestan with a 60% turnout. Ahmadinejad recieved just below 10%.
In the 2009 election, the 80% turnout wielded 70% to Ahmadinejad and 5% for Kharrobi. These percentages are approximates from what i can recall...
It was a fraud... dont be nieve.
As an Iranian i can safely say I can see them rigging the election.
It's unfortunate that the youngturks have become a close minded and in someways a propaganda tool just like cnn, fox, msnbc, when it comes to reporting iran election, today he was reading a report from new york times about how ahmedinajad cheated, new york times wich is basically a joke put together some numbers and said mousaffi should have won it, let's be honestly you think that new york times or any western media would be fair in reporting that ahmedinajad won the election, leave iran alone
I agree with you about youngturks becoming another one of those left/right wing journalistic failures but he does his research. The election was one of the biggest jokes ever to grace the Iranian people..
In some regions Ahmedinajad recieved more votes then what were actually registered...
He also managed to win majority ( by a large perecentage) in all regions ... and 2005 figures of the electorial ballot show no obvious trend that makes sense.
hahahaha! that's funny! Did you just now notice that the young turks is full of shit? :)
I also agree that the u.s.a. should but out and i also think that ron paul was right when he said we should also pull out all our c.i.a. and other spy infiltrators.
It's funny everyone forgets that we already had 1 popularly elected leader of iran's overthrown with all our bullshit dishonest propaganda and terrorism in the 1950's. i don't trust the u.s.a. government to meddle.
I hope the Iran people can get thru this. Be brave for your future generation's of Iran people so that they never have to go thru what you BRAVE people are going thru.
American and a bunch of other Country's are with you.
R.I.P. To the Brave men and women who died during this Historic time.
Can anyone pm me and let me know a little about the religious factions in Iran and if the leadership's religious views are different from those of the protestors?
I'm at a loss in this. It seems like a lot more involved than a botched election, it's about a group who is oppressed. Is the oppression because of their religious or politial views? Thank you
God isn't about killing. God is about giving life. Every major religion I'm aware of talks about how good God is. The problem isn't God. God is fine. The problem is we as a fallen race take advantage of all the good things He has done. We, the people of God, are taking advantage of Him. I'm personally very glad we in the USA have a president named Barack Hussein Obama. Baruch Hashem Adonai.
The Muslim must realise one thing. They have two great enemies. One is Satan and the second is Muslims who claim themselves to be Muslims and yet do things against the Muslim teachings. Satan, the form of Anger, Greed, Lust, Attachment and Ego can even work through some Muslims and cause harm to other Muslims. These some Muslims are worse than Kafir (non believer) for they know what is against Muslim teachings and yet they just do that. Only Allah (God) know their account of sin!
I am pretty sure what you said makes absolutely no sense. On the other hand, how could it? This sort of talk belong on the fiction shelf or maybe the history shelf. The real problem is religion, because it is fake and harmful.
Let's agree to disagree. If religion is fake n harmful why r there so many followers 4 the so many religions. Even in the western world there are many whites who r converting into Muslim religion. U may not use the word Satan for it's not a being. It's the vices such as anger, greed, ego, lust and attachment that is Satan. You and I do have it. Which means we do at times come under the influence of Satan. All the harm is caused by the 5 vices, immaterial whether one is religious minded or not.
You may not want to accept it and do probably think that it does not take religion to be a good person BUT religion has molded us even if you are not religious.
Besides religion is never the problem .. the people are.
When immoral actions are justified in the name of religion/God THEN the shit hits the fan. Otherwise I do people people do benefit from it regardless if religious beliefs are real or phony
religion advocates blind belief and ignorance, once you believe in god & then you start to listen to his word the only thing you hear is that word. religion makes people unaware of whats really going on and makes it harder for them to break out of there bubble. just because religion says to be good and believe in god or we will burn you doesnt mean that people benefit from it, it just means people when the situation comes will do anything for there religion even kill or not think for themselves
The 5 vices, anger, greed, ego, sex lust and attachment make us blind. All the crimes, all the pain and sorrow, all the injustices, all the sufferings are solely and only due to 5 vices. Open your eyes and see that. And don't forget you and I have it.
and yes religion is the problem, you cant say that because someone is doing something for god that religion is right. you cant say because man interpreted religion wrong that religion cant be blamed. if the man didnt know anything about the religion he would not have interpreted it so. also most religions condone slavery, condemnation, killing, and genocide so yes religion is the problem but you must look into it and not see only the good things about it.
Sounds right, and at higher level it's a showdown between Rafsanjani and Khamenei. Khamenei did not have the title of Ayatollah but only Hojatollah at the time of his entitlement, but was given a break, basically 20 years of theology studies forgiven in order to call him Ayatollah and make him a successor of Khomenei. In the meantime a few other real Ayatollahs never felt he was prepared for such powerful seat and he has proven them correct.
The religious fear something, a power they cannot control. Their request to the people for the "peacefull acceptance" has failed.
The religious require the support of the people if that support is pulled that..their power is in danger. And if that happens ah only a cheshire cat could foretell you what would happen
i dont think that the problem is religion. I think it is stupidity. Stupid people are more likely to believe in a religion and are also more likely to commit crimes and such. So stupidity is the unifying factor.
I am not suggesting anything, but can someone remind Ayatollah Khamenei that there are 140,000 US troops right next door in Iraq? And that doesn't even include the Coalition troops and the PMCs.
Don't be ridiculous, they're not that stupid. Anyone in the world who hasn't been in a coma until today knows the situation of the US. Then again, maybe they are very stupid. They forged a 30-60% lead. If they were smart it would have gone 49-51 or something. Actually, if the buckle and stage a "real vote count" that will probably be the new results.
i understand you might say that, buh religion has nothing to do with this problem. if all these guys were Godless, they'd still be fixing elections and Ahmedinigad would still be a crazy fuck
I have to say that I think your statement is about as lacking in depth as the one you're responding to.
Of course fixed elections are no exclusive domain of religious societies, but to think that "religion has nothing to do with this problem" strains all credibility.
Bad people, who deny the basic human rights of others - are bad people. But they always have a framework from which they work. In Iran, it's a religious framework, and to deny it is foolish.
You know what, I have a habit of saying religion has nothing to do with it, buh u kno wut u are right, somewhat. Yes of course religion has to have something to do with it, buh I think the main reason why this occured is because of the people themselves. So if they were in a secular society, I still believe Ahmedinijad would've tried to cheat and secularism would be of blame as well. My point is, why don't we stop blaming religion or secularism, and just blame the people.
Religion is here to save us from the satanic inclination in the human beings.
If a religion orders death for an evil man who has just killed another person, then it is not to be blamed. Religion is like the modern law that you have, just that you don't call the modern law a religion. You might say there is no death penalty in your modern law. Yes there isn't, but that is wrong! Nobody but the victim should decide if the convict is to be released free. That is Religion.
Don't be fooled by what you are seeing today. Religion is not a toy that was made in china last year.
Religion has been here longer than you could imagine.
Religion and Religious States have had mixed results throughout the history. The bad results owing their cause to human imperfections. Religion in its entirety is Strong. Please consider it.
I know the history of religion. It's as old as civilization. But to say that religion is an asset to a nation's core, to it's future is implying that we should expect good results in the future while nothing in modern history has shown this. It's ironically expecting us to accept it based on pure faith. Religion isn't even the problem, just being national law. It's not an asset to a society, it's a liability in every way. Such nations can't and won't compete with nations that respect logic.
What you have just said is nothing new. There were People in all ages that have defied religion. People in all ages that have pointed to their wealth and comfort to scoff at the religious poor. People in all ages that have tried to choose good stuff (i.e what they think as good) from religion, and throw away the rest.
If democratic educated societies are non-religious, then be it. I will assume the life of this world redundant. Comfort and Pain are part of life, to myself and undeniably YOU.
I suggest you search Suzanna Hupp's video on Youtube about the 2nd amendment. In fact, here it is...just post in the search field. watch?v=M1u0Byq5Qis
Listen Cenk, all is fine until you start making a joke about Allah. I understand people are not perfect, but there is a nicer way to ridicule the people you don't like without involving Allah's name cheaply.
Btw, I had been a fan of your show. But I am disgusted today when at the end of the video, you make an instant message joke. Not all stuff needs to be made a joke under the disguise of freedom of speech and etc. May Allah give you judgement of right and wrong, amen.
cenk was a muslim, and cenk said "..instant messaging with Allah" referring to the clerics can decide who is the next supreme leader. i know cenk left Islam but dont joke about Islam. Mutual respect.
well he has one thing going for him then. he left islam that is. haha. don't joke about islam eh? i'll try not to. if i do, you being muslim and all you'll probably go ape shit and try and kill me with your jihad
But, I would want you to enjoy the freedom that your life might have given you outside of Islam. I would pray Allah guides you to a better life, whether or not you be called a muslim. One piece of advice; don't join the mainstream by criticising Islam. The West has a trend of making a Satan out of some thing every few decades and then leaving it at that. Witch Hunting, Jews, Japs, Chinese, Russians, Communists, Muslims, and you never know it could be atheists next.
no i wont go berserk with u dude. just becoz i like starwars too. thats the problem with those who misunderstood or just dont want to know. jihad is misinterpreted by the media as killing non-muslims.
HEY EVERYONE set your twitter account to Tehran. This will make it harder for the Iranian secret service to track people down in Tehran. Help the people of Iran attain freedom. Thank You.
something tells me that generally the type of people who are on twitter could give a shit about Iran or even know what Tehran is. they're too busy looking at themselves in the mirror and tweeting about it. Damn twitter is retarded.
if the people want a revolution, it will happen. as is the case in iran. this is one of the most important things to happen in a long time, mainly because it sends a message to every country in the world who wants a change. for good or ill, this will set a trend throughout the world.
btw Moussavi is not so different than ahmadinejad , moussavi is a basiji and ex IRGC and a deep follower of imam khomeini , thats something all you protest backers cant seem to understand , you see people protesting then automatically like a bunch of blind sheep you support them , republicans favoured ahmadinejad actually , posting the shahs flag would make things worse , not better.
I read that the GOP was going to hold a pro-Moussavi protest. But theyre so cynical that theyre prolly doing that just because Obama had been reticent on the issue in not trying to interfere in their domestic politics. The neocons were actually backing Moussavi. They know their reputation is so toxic that the American people will support the opposite person they support, so they came out and backed Ahmadinejad.
Goddamn you cenk , you took the side of the traitors , if your so sure that the elections were a fraud then prove it , fucking someone prove it instead of spreading your bullshit , every USA poll before the elections indicated mahmoud was ahead by 2 to 1 , Cenk I used to like you but now I see your a one-sided twat.
Cenk has false numbers on his hands since he obviously supports the protestors more than government , the protestors numbered at 100,000 max AND the ahmadinejad people numbered another 100,000 , he wanted it to seem that all of it was for moussavi , btw moussavi claimed victory 3WEEKS before the elections and on election day before voting even started he said he won 54% , mahmoud was ahead in eastern azerbaijan based on US polls , not iranian polls.
Wow, I can't believe how much of a impact this generation has made so far, from the election of obama (who mostly got young voters) to this event going on in iran. even though i am only pointing a few obvious events, from the looks of it, i think civil war in iran is highly possible. let's hope that doesn't happen. what a generation.
Unfortunately the reality is that civil war is a requirement at this point. The old guard of Iran cling to archaic ways of life and laws.
There is a younger generation of people in Iran who do not believe in the old ways of Iran. They want Iran to come out from the shadows and be an important part and partner of the international community.
The threats of execution, the people killed in protests, this just fans the flames of a fire that will burn the old guard and their old ways down.
I wouldn't be surprised if the west had something to do with this. Considering what the US has been doing in Latin America setting up its Puppet Governments.
A "re-vote" would never work... what if ahmedinejad wins again? what stops him from rigging it again? even if he wins legitimately, how will the Iranian people be assured that the election was not rigged? Seems rather impossible.
I guess those Iranians knows something going on. Not us, because we're outsiders. Let's support the Iranian in their protests. Yes, some will be killed, but, that's how they win. Sacrifice a life for a good cause. Like we did for WW2.
That seems slightly immoral, to sacrifice others for a cause. Democracy, however you define it, is only as strong and as likely to be implemented as the people in the country allow.
No, I think I said it a bit wrong, I am saying I would sacrifice my life for a cause. So I am saying, if they care about Iran so much, then their sacrifice is noble and moral. I am not encouring them to be killed, but be prepared for it in order to win.
that iranian dictator should wipe out these protestors...fuck them...send out the army and mow them down with machine guns....this dictator from iran is way too nice...he is letting these dopey students push him around...i hope the iranian dictator orders his army to kill all protestors by tomorrow..i am sick of seeing this shit on tv...fucking arab cocksuckers...ALLAH just told the iranian dictator to kill all protestors and
ALLAH told him to fix the election and ALLAH told him to bang whores
i cant help but feel that the u.s. has something to do with ahkmed madinajad (s.p?) just to stir up domestic turmoil! so the u.s. can go in there and controll their country! i think that it is shameful!
This is sad, because I know this won't end in real change or victory for these protesters. The man that these people are backing, Mousavi, has no real power. Unless there is an internal revolution inside the government, this will only end tragically.
oppressive regime? I don't think so, mullahs run the country by the actual basis of islam. It is the islam that is oppressive, people who follow islam by the book become so called "extremist", not so, they go by the book quran. If you are a true muslim in the way of quran literally following the verses as it is written what you got yourself a savage brutal system. So called moderate muslims should get out of their bubble and see the reality. Your religion is ruining the peace of this planet.
please dont make me hate being against them. if you think they really represent islam then youre indirectly telling muslims to support that crap regime.
Despite street protests against his contested election victory, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is getting a boost from an unexpected corner: rebellious lawmakers who had stymied some of his controversial economic initiatives.
But amid this week's protests, lawmakers, including many of the renegades, have rallied behind him. So far, 220 out of 290 members of Iran's parliament have written to him, formally endorsing his victory.
People in the west are egging these protesters on to continue what they are doing. People in the west give these people the false hope that there can be a successful revolution, when the reality on the ground shows that a revolution is impossible at this point.
If the west keeps egging these people on and giving them false hope, there's gunna be a Tienanmen square.
Iran has a very young population, most of the people that would be middle aged now were killed in the war with Iraq. A ton of young people in an extreme conservative society are going to rise up and revolt sooner or later. I am sure in 1 to 10 years Iran will be a completely different country.
At first I was like eh, let's wait for a recount or something.
But every move the Iranian establishment is making strongly suggests to me that they have something to hide and are complicit in stealing the election (that and all the evidence of voter fraud coming out). The Greens have my full support. I wish we Americans had the bravery to protest like this when Bush stole the election. What damage that man did!
Hostile enemy divisions surround Iran to the West, East, South, and North, and the rabid Jews in Israel are foaming at the mouth for an Iranian Holocaust.
Now is not the time to hand over the levers of power to a bunch of fucking teenagers who have watched MTV on their pirate satellite dishes a few too many times.
glass people of iran want change, no jews especialy israel is looking for halucast in iran, yes is true they don't like arabs so do iranians they are rabid anti arabs i just tell you that if you reading sentiment of iranian people in the wrong way, both iranians and jews have a common enemy and that is Arabs noe go hide in a cave somewhere so you don't get nuked from both side

Very interesting. To think that people can make the statement that the riots are not happening and fabricated.
The people who make these claims can not possibly understand the logistics involved in getting that many people together for a single cause.
The media black out casts a dark shadow of guilt against the government. A government that acts in shadow, is a government of lies.
That goes for any government (and sadly many of our governments are guilty of this).

Our voices and our goal are our means.
I do not imply that we fight the governments.
If the hundreds of thousands of us on the internet would actually come together in the hundreds of thousands and even the millions. As one voice.
For one goal, they would have to pause and listen.
Think about it.

on the so called "al Quds day", a day created by mullahs to supposedly mark the support of Iranians for palistinian muslim terrorist killing Israelis, brave Iranians turned out in their hundreds of thousands and chanted:
Not Gaza
Not Lebanon,
I'll Die for Iran!

I know that bush losing the popular vote but wining the electoral vote is BS but it was caused by laws each state acting independently put into place, that isn't an act of fraud it's an act of law, the laws maybe BS but we are a nation of law & must adhere to them, even if the results are not what the people wanted.
yellowkrux 2 years ago 2
If you read Bush v. Gore, you'll find there were two issues to be decided. 1 Was there an equal protection violation because different methods were being used to count votes in different FL counties and 2. how should the process proceed? The court was 7-2 that there was an equal protection violation. It was 5-4 in its decision to uphold Harris certification of Bush as winner. It was not fraudulent.
anarizonagirl 2 years ago
Two syllables: Jeb Bush
What a coincidence...
CMLaneLV 2 years ago
Jeb Bush did not tell 7 of the 9 Justices to agree that there was an equal protection violation. That was what the vote was. The 5-4 part of the decision was about how the state of FL should proceed in light of the equal protection violation.
anarizonagirl 2 years ago
Actually smartass, I was in the Navy. But what can I do? Honestly, what can I do even if I wanted to? At that time he was my Commander In Chief, so there was nothing I could do. Only thing I decided to do was not fight for my country anymore because Bush go re-elected. There was really no reason for you to come at me sideways anyway because that comment had nothing to do with you. Tryin to come out of left field like you're saying something. Bitch please

The people that have died in these protests my heart and prayers go to them as christian. terror free democracy had a poll before the election which stated Ahmaninajad was going to win the election with 2-1 margin....yes you guested thats the margin that actually gave him the win..hopefully their are open minded & good americans in this country that would look at the facts before they judge.
33BlessingsOfGod 2 years ago
Facts distributed by whom?
Thats the question your not asking yourself...

33BlessingsOfGod 2 years ago
I agree with you about youngturks becoming another one of those left/right wing journalistic failures but he does his research. The election was one of the biggest jokes ever to grace the Iranian people..
In some regions Ahmedinajad recieved more votes then what were actually registered...
He also managed to win majority ( by a large perecentage) in all regions ... and 2005 figures of the electorial ballot show no obvious trend that makes sense.

Only Allah (God) know their account of sin!
purkoy 2 years ago
I am pretty sure what you said makes absolutely no sense. On the other hand, how could it? This sort of talk belong on the fiction shelf or maybe the history shelf. The real problem is religion, because it is fake and harmful.
harr7959 2 years ago
Let's agree to disagree. If religion is fake n harmful why r there so many followers 4 the so many religions. Even in the western world there are many whites who r converting into Muslim religion. U may not use the word Satan for it's not a being. It's the vices such as anger, greed, ego, lust and attachment that is Satan. You and I do have it. Which means we do at times come under the influence of Satan. All the harm is caused by the 5 vices, immaterial whether one is religious minded or not.
purkoy 2 years ago
You may not want to accept it and do probably think that it does not take religion to be a good person BUT religion has molded us even if you are not religious.
Besides religion is never the problem .. the people are.
When immoral actions are justified in the name of religion/God THEN the shit hits the fan. Otherwise I do people people do benefit from it regardless if religious beliefs are real or phony
Jehanam 2 years ago 3
religion advocates blind belief and ignorance, once you believe in god & then you start to listen to his word the only thing you hear is that word. religion makes people unaware of whats really going on and makes it harder for them to break out of there bubble. just because religion says to be good and believe in god or we will burn you doesnt mean that people benefit from it, it just means people when the situation comes will do anything for there religion even kill or not think for themselves
commercialx 2 years ago 2
The 5 vices, anger, greed, ego, sex lust and attachment make us blind. All the crimes, all the pain and sorrow, all the injustices, all the sufferings are solely and only due to 5 vices. Open your eyes and see that. And don't forget you and I have it.
purkoy 2 years ago
and yes religion is the problem, you cant say that because someone is doing something for god that religion is right. you cant say because man interpreted religion wrong that religion cant be blamed. if the man didnt know anything about the religion he would not have interpreted it so. also most religions condone slavery, condemnation, killing, and genocide so yes religion is the problem but you must look into it and not see only the good things about it.
commercialx 2 years ago
Religion is only as good as the culture and era it was born in, but ultimately it does try to push for the betterment of mankind.
Plus most religious teachings or quotes are written in a spiritual code of which some fanatical people take literally.
Ohh and i could argue that you fail to see the good things which CLEARLY out wieghs most of the negative.
Read the teachings and apply what you think to be real and true, instead of shitting on the entirity which is belief in a greater being.

In the meantime a few other real Ayatollahs never felt he was prepared for such powerful seat and he has proven them correct.

benjiemooncakes 2 years ago 3
I have to say that I think your statement is about as lacking in depth as the one you're responding to.
Of course fixed elections are no exclusive domain of religious societies, but to think that "religion has nothing to do with this problem" strains all credibility.
Bad people, who deny the basic human rights of others - are bad people. But they always have a framework from which they work. In Iran, it's a religious framework, and to deny it is foolish.
AncientAtheist 2 years ago
You know what, I have a habit of saying religion has nothing to do with it, buh u kno wut u are right, somewhat. Yes of course religion has to have something to do with it, buh I think the main reason why this occured is because of the people themselves. So if they were in a secular society, I still believe Ahmedinijad would've tried to cheat and secularism would be of blame as well. My point is, why don't we stop blaming religion or secularism, and just blame the people.
benjiemooncakes 2 years ago
It's kind of like the whole debate on gun control...
"Guns don't kill people---people kill people!"
"Guns are a tool people use to kill people!"
"Religion doesn't kill people---people kill people!"
"Religious is a tool people use to kill people!"
In the end, we can't destroy and ban guns nor religion. We must simply encourage people to use them for the right purposes!
jacqueline716 2 years ago 2
Well.. not exactly.
That is Religion.

shadowcnidarian 2 years ago 2
Don't be fooled by what you are seeing today. Religion is not a toy that was made in china last year.
Religion has been here longer than you could imagine.
Religion and Religious States have had mixed results throughout the history. The bad results owing their cause to human imperfections. Religion in its entirety is Strong. Please consider it.
t20183636255 2 years ago
I know the history of religion. It's as old as civilization. But to say that religion is an asset to a nation's core, to it's future is implying that we should expect good results in the future while nothing in modern history has shown this. It's ironically expecting us to accept it based on pure faith. Religion isn't even the problem, just being national law. It's not an asset to a society, it's a liability in every way. Such nations can't and won't compete with nations that respect logic.
shadowcnidarian 2 years ago
religion is the problem in the world.
dduca37 2 years ago
No religion ≠ satanism.
It's a misconception that without religion, people would have no ethics or moral code.
Religion is more trouble than it's worth...the most non-religious countries in the world are among the most democratic and educated.
jacqueline716 2 years ago 3
What you have just said is nothing new. There were People in all ages that have defied religion. People in all ages that have pointed to their wealth and comfort to scoff at the religious poor. People in all ages that have tried to choose good stuff (i.e what they think as good) from religion, and throw away the rest.
If democratic educated societies are non-religious, then be it. I will assume the life of this world redundant. Comfort and Pain are part of life, to myself and undeniably YOU.

QUick way to wrap up protests non-violently:
Run 24/7 commercials of pro-Moussavi protests across western Europe, Israel, and the US.
Run commercials of Democrats and Republicans, the two war monger parties, backing Moussavi.
Run a video I ran across of some iranian expats rallying around the pre-revolutionary Iran Shah period Iranian flag.
sonyavsystem 2 years ago
btw Moussavi is not so different than ahmadinejad , moussavi is a basiji and ex IRGC and a deep follower of imam khomeini , thats something all you protest backers cant seem to understand , you see people protesting then automatically like a bunch of blind sheep you support them , republicans favoured ahmadinejad actually , posting the shahs flag would make things worse , not better.
darthsouheil 2 years ago
I read that the GOP was going to hold a pro-Moussavi protest. But theyre so cynical that theyre prolly doing that just because Obama had been reticent on the issue in not trying to interfere in their domestic politics. The neocons were actually backing Moussavi. They know their reputation is so toxic that the American people will support the opposite person they support, so they came out and backed Ahmadinejad.
sonyavsystem 2 years ago
So because you don't think either candidate is good, that's reason to oppose people who support a democratic system of deciding leaders?
ajsb1986 2 years ago
Goddamn you cenk , you took the side of the traitors , if your so sure that the elections were a fraud then prove it , fucking someone prove it instead of spreading your bullshit , every USA poll before the elections indicated mahmoud was ahead by 2 to 1 , Cenk I used to like you but now I see your a one-sided twat.
darthsouheil 2 years ago
There is no proof.
Allegation1) Mahmoud claimed victory before votes were counted. So did Moussavi. Wheres the outrage.
Allegation2) Moussavi lost his hometown of ethnic Azaris so thats proof of fraud. Pre-election polling showed AJ led among Azeris 2:1
Allegation3) The protesters. The loser has more incentive to protest than the winner. Obviously.
sonyavsystem 2 years ago
Cenk has false numbers on his hands since he obviously supports the protestors more than government , the protestors numbered at 100,000 max AND the ahmadinejad people numbered another 100,000 , he wanted it to seem that all of it was for moussavi , btw moussavi claimed victory 3WEEKS before the elections and on election day before voting even started he said he won 54% , mahmoud was ahead in eastern azerbaijan based on US polls , not iranian polls.

Iran Says Protesters Might be Executed
irljohncronin 2 years ago
Wow, I can't believe how much of a impact this generation has made so far, from the election of obama (who mostly got young voters) to this event going on in iran. even though i am only pointing a few obvious events, from the looks of it, i think civil war in iran is highly possible. let's hope that doesn't happen. what a generation.
dabobo011 2 years ago
Unfortunately the reality is that civil war is a requirement at this point. The old guard of Iran cling to archaic ways of life and laws.
There is a younger generation of people in Iran who do not believe in the old ways of Iran. They want Iran to come out from the shadows and be an important part and partner of the international community.
The threats of execution, the people killed in protests, this just fans the flames of a fire that will burn the old guard and their old ways down.
Stiletos 2 years ago
Very probable!
The old ways seem to have rusted and the Iron Hand is like waving a flag at a fire. It only stirs things up.
The "best" thing the religious controllers can do is a re-election. If mere to "proof" that things we're fair [really..]
Obviously it would be a sign of weakness and chances are that the religious will find their support faltering. Cracks in walls are never good signs.

That seems slightly immoral, to sacrifice others for a cause. Democracy, however you define it, is only as strong and as likely to be implemented as the people in the country allow.

If you think potential revolution is a myth, how is anyone going to get killed???
You're not making any sense!
