@baron494 Orbiting the sun is pretty easy. If you escape kerbin you are already orbiting the sun. Anytime you do an escape trajectory you are orbiting the sun.

Try and do an orbit of the earth within 500 meters of the ground

@DietLemonlime7up Unfortunately, you cannot. The amount of air at 500 meters from Kerbin causes so much drag that you would slow down. You would have to use winglets on a powered flight instead. This is basically an airplane and not a space ship.

I used the one from your moon landing tutorial with a sattalite added in the middle. I realised it reset the command order but I got a sattelite into 90 degree orbit and landed in Khina safley.

@azkal64 Any vehicle can make it back. You just turn it around and do a retro burn. I have a series of tutorials that you can check out.

I had the perfect plan to land on mun and come back, but then I decided to see what the max time-warp was, it was 1000000x or something like that, I passed mun and doomed my Kerbals to orbit and get slingshoted AROUND the sun and eventually crash with their home planet in like five kerbal years at max time-warp

@tjinga2u1 Start with orbiting the planet. Then expand your orbit to the moon. I have a couple videos that show how to build a moon rocket, land on the moon, and return.

@predatortheme Not in this one. The scripts may have changed. I have modified scripts before to show how different "mods" are like cheats, but I have never used anything modified or custom in my videos.

you know....I have the latest version (10.1) and have bought the game. SO, I was wondering what happened to all the other stuff that I see in some vids, like the orange spherical fuel tank and so on.

On a side note, I am trying to reach lunar orbit, but the highest I have gotten is 20,000+ K high (reached MOE) but I dont know how to keep a HUGE amount of acceleration to do a return trip...and not just a one way ticket, Any Help?

@DASBIGUN The orange parts are actually add-ons made by the community. You can download them yourself and mix and match stock parts with mod parts. As for reaching the distance of the moon start off with a normal orbit. Then perform a burn in the direction you are traveling which will make your orbit elliptical, or even give you an escaping orbit. You will be amazed at how little fuel you will need to do this from orbit. When you reach your destination, burn opposite your direction to return.

PS: I did notice that my Velocity would increase more when I reached around 300,000 M when firing off a liquid rocket. I think I well try it with a liquid booster, and use a solid for a return trip.

@DASBIGUN Orbiting really is the first bit challenge. If you can pull off a good orbit you can do most anything. Check out my other Tutorial videos. They will get you started off well.

@copjing I was actually incorrect in my statement. A vector is a speed at a direction. It's actually an escape velocity. That is a speed at which the effect of gravity will never pull you back. It can be in any direction except one that points you through the planet/atmosphere.

@rtm1137 My recording software compresses the video which is why it changes a lot of the colors. It also goes through a few encodings to get things to the way I like them. It messes with the colors, but it is a lighter download.
