@inten1978 In the original source material (and we have to remember that itself was a work of faction written way after the event) Marion is killed whilst trying to block her door whilst Wallace escapes out of the back. The English commander is so furious with her that he hits her with his sword killing her instantly. When Wallace hears what happened he swears that in his revenge he will take 10,000 lives for hers. So in Scots tradition she was killed. Historically we don't know for sure :-)
