You may want to try out other angles as I doubt that viewers enjoy looking at the back of the guy for the whole of 7 mins. Some CU of him would be good, after all he is the only character in your short. The environmental noise being the only audio in your short is a bit inconsistent as well.
It is obvious that you shot the entire footage using handheld which is fine, however you may want to consider a tripod in future as some shots are very jerky.Your establishing shot which is a long shot of the guy walking is way too long unless you intend to pull a Tsai Ming Liang.Your camera angles are also confined to long shot and mid shot.
Tis is a excerpt commentary from Karin Chang about the short. It is quite long, so i break it into several part. Thanks alot for the insight :)
On storyline
IMHO, if it wasn't for the fact that you specifically mentioned here that the photographs are the memories that he is searching,I wouldn't have known as there was no clue given in your short.
It is a short story portrays the blue shirt guy searching for room. The only clue is the handwritten advertisements pasted on the poles. It a visual metaphorical representational people find rented room. This is just a segment from the whole film... Hopefully when it is finished. It can be undestood

I'm not a professional, maybe this is your concept to convey your story. :D
