Merle had just over'd cancer weeks before the Haiwassie show, and belted out to a crowd of about 3,000. Small crowd for him I'm sure, but excellent acoustics and seemed like a real personal performance kinda like this. I'm 23 and it was a dream come true to see my favorite singer of all time. He was also my grandpa's who passed away with lung cancer 4 days before the show.Theresa took Gp's Live Motorcycle Cowboy casset tape on the bus, and Hag singed it for me.I'll remember this to my dying day!

This is awesome to see the Hag post a video like this. I wonder what it sound like if some of our current Nashville singers sat down in there living room with a flat top a plucked us an old tune like this. I bet you half the ones that's got recorded labels couldn't tell you who Jimmy Rogers is. Seen Merle once in Haiwassie GA, and once in Augusta Ga, both where Legendary performances.

Wow:Merle is the best.he's so talented.I loved that man since I was knee high a kid of 9 years.he's just got a kick ass voice and he's #1 with me I'll never forget the first time iv heard him my dad had an old eight track tape of okie from Muskogee recorded live,and he use to take me out on his big old monstrous u model Mack tractor trailer and he would play all that stuff as well as Johnny cash and I was hooked line and sinker and I still collect his recordings to this day all I can say Is,iv
