This has already been done before. It was a video in black and white IIRC, from Europe I think. It’s set in the 50s and the man is crossing the street to get to the girl, she breaks the glass as well, and he gets hit by a car and it does nothing.
I still love this concept, this is pure art, absolutely no question. I love the pillars, the walls, the cars and the street all being pushed with the force that is bringing these two together.
However, I do appreciate the original film a bit more.
When I first saw that film, I was speechless. I literally sat in front of my computer screen utterly without words for what seemed like hours.
This is inspired by a black and white short, but I forgot the name of it. I think a car hits them in the street or something though. Hope someone can link me to the original.
it's called Nuit Blanche, just youtube it. They are both made by the same production house, so I guess Sony just bought it and made it even more beautiful. Clint Mansell being part of it is amazing.
@vorrestpictures Nuit Blanche wasn't a commercial!... this is. Sony had likely seen the original and asked him to make this, and i'm sure they payed a shit load of money so who wouldn't turn that down.

The power
The emotion
The invisible energy that pulled them together.

Hmmm, so Sony hired the same director to remake the exact same scene? That's a bit lazy, don't you think?
This is the original one is called Nuit Blanche.

I preferred the original. More heart.

@vorrestpictures You would do it if it pays. Plus I am sure Sony wanted this for their ad.
