  • your belief of doing away with religion because it is a myth does not provide freedom; i can believe in the "spaghetti monster" if i wish, as long as i dont harm others. this is why i struggle with jws - people's lives are at risk because of their beliefs, such as children dying if need blood or protecting abusers- this is a place where govt needs to step in,

  • so do we do away with political parties as well, because so many bad things happen in the name of political parties? and i agree, many horrible things have happened because of religion, but i am saying i dont think your answer of doing away with religion will bring peace; rahter respecting people's belief and right to belive how they wish - as well as they do not harm others

  • that's nice...i have a dull perception of human life, religious history dosen't fit me, and you seem to know that multitudes of christians have a particular attitude. so your answer seems to be that religion offers nothing good in this world-not food, shelter, love, adoptions, health care.please tell me some positive things atheists as a group have done for society. i think w/o religion the world would be worse off than it is now.multitudes of people need something to believe in.

  • @beefree45 Did you know the Taliban provides such things? Atheism is not in itself a practice, as is religion. Multitudes of people need something to believe in in order to kill - and most religions on this planet have been used for centuries for that very purpose. Have you never heard of the Spanish Inquisition? I don't need a mythical character to have morals or to do charitable work. The moronic Gods are teaching their believers that it is OK to kill whoever their spokesmen say to kill.

  • @beefree45 While there may be some atheist organizations which provide a way for like-minded ones to help educate the vast majority of morons on this earth, perhaps you ought to consider the good that comes out of the activities that they DON'T do. Like using religion to turn their fellow man against each other. You cannot use an un-belief to convince anybody of anything. Why the hell should a person feel a need to turn to a thug murderer like Allah or Jehovah for inspiration to be charitable?

  • just because you have no need for a belief, dosent mean others do not - it appears spirituality is a part of being human - you see it it most all cultures throughout time- take an anthro or sociaology class - it may give you perspective on how humans are wired.

  • @beefree45 First of all, I did not claim there is not a God. I said I hate Jehovah, Jesus, Allah, Buddah and all other man-made myths because that is exactly what they are and people continue to murder in the name of these fairy tales. I personally have no clue - and neither do you - or anybody else - if there is any form of intelligent deities responsible for this mess. You are correct that these myths give insight as to how humans are "wired" - and it's obviously a pitiful disaster.

  • @pianodavy why do you feel it is a disaster? do you feel some people benefit from a religious belief? just wondering why you believe all religion is bad because some people have died in the name of "God"....

  • @beefree45 You've got to be joking. You are just wondering why I believe all religion is bad because some people have died in the name of "God"? Are you serious? That is not enough to convince you? "Christians" hating homosexuals, just as one small example - that is not enough for you? How about all the deaths in the name of Allah these days? I am sure you have read SOME history, I can't believe that you would take such historical data so with such an obtuse regard to human life.

  • @pianodavy so are you saying all christians hate homosexuals or because some do hate, all christians should be labeled as homosexual haters?..........etc... i am not disregarding human life, why would you say such a hateful thing? okay, so are you saying we should have no religion at all because horrible things happen in the name of religion? and please tell me if you think anything good has come from organized religions...

  • @beefree45 The evidence is quite clear that multitudes of Christians, as well as leaders in their community are homophobic. Is it any wonder? The Bible is easily interpreted as promoting such hatred and yes, sadly, most Christians agree with it. I think the sooner people understand the mythological foundations of all religions, yes, the better off we all will be without them. Just because some "good" comes out of an idea does not make it excusable. Hitler dreamed up the idea of the VW.

  • @pianodavy i disagree, i do not believe most christians are homophobic - ive never been taught to hate others in any church ive attended (except jws who taught me all worldly people will be destroyed and are to be feared) i like your passion for a better world, but i do not think the absense of all religion is the answer.

  • @beefree45 By the way, I did not say "all Christians should be labeled as homosexual haters" - I said ""Christians" hating homosexuals..." - don't try to mold me into something you want to present as a basher. Secondly, I didn't say you "disregarded" human life. I said you have an obtuse regard to human life - you don't seem to respect the fact that history has recorded the deaths of millions of people because of their fearful belief in what amounts to bullshit. The earth is round now.

  • @pianodavy thats how i interpreted your response - but you gotta agree, you are grouping christians into a stereotype - you just said multitudes of christians are homophobic...and maybe you should explain "obtuse regard"...

  • @beefree45 As I said, multitudes of Christians do have this attitude and they seem to me to be more of a self-parody than a stereo-type, but then, if the shoe fits... I suggest if you find this fact hard to swallow, review the doctrines of the top 10 or 20 Christian religions and then tell me if I am making this up. Obtuse means being dull in perception and/or feeling and/or intellect. Regard means means considering something in a specific way. Religious history doesn't fit you well, OK?

  • i also find it interesting that your reasonsing that there is not a God is because there are just too many different opinions/religions ....aside from the terrible history of religions (i get it - it makes me angry too)....but - i think a lot of good is done as well - many religions provide for the poor and sick

  • i am so confused on your beliefs...you say all of this against religion, yet you basically stated earlier that you believe communism works...so you believe in man-made governments being in control of people? advancement of human beings? we advance when we are free..free to believe how we want....i am trying to see your point of view

  • Let's Give Hate a Chance! then stand by your word, and close down your HATE site !!!

  • @Batmanmatrixseven What and ruin your day? Wouldn't think of it my dear brother! Oh yes, and a very, very Merry Christmas to you! Let's roast the baby Jesus and serve him to Jehovah! Now there's a Watchtower cover that deserves consideration! We could have the Governing Body groping each other under the mistletoe while Santa's on the toilet wiping his butt with the latest edition of the Awake! Just kidding, Keith! Everybody knows how useful those magazines are - especially my parakeets!

  • @pianodavy Ha Ha Ha! Good one.

  • coming from an apostate, you do not HATE,LOL,you are a bloody hypocrite like all deluded apostates !

  • Damn, you just laid out some serious stuff. Couldn't agree with you more even though I still like some of the teaching of Buddhism.

  • Excellent video!

  • @CSTheApostate Thanks, Bro!

  • your entitiled to YOUR opinion which needs to be respected, good points to think on

  • ppl feel they have to demonize you to justifiy their bias instead of agreeing to disagree, atheist are just like everyone else they have good points in their literature that im lookin into

  • @fem40trish Thank you so very much for watching, Sis. People need to connect with people if they ever want to eradicate social pains. I very appreciate your comment.

  • That's Your Right, And the Choice every man must make....and live by. God judges, no man can.

I agreed about Religion....it was set up for CONTROL of the masses. I still love your vids brother.

    Be Safe in these times...

  • @SteeleHorse45 Thanks Bro - you are greatly appreciated

  • no reason to hate what isn't there... :) Good video Davy. Someday i want to hear an atheist song or two... ;-)

  • @WorthlessLoser8 Thanks, man - you are so very kind. I think you have a natural ability for songwriting, actually - I have heard your spontaneous songs on some of your videos and I was quite impressed.

  • hahaha ( ~o~) checking up my enemies at fox news

  • @jwFairyTale Would you believe I actually used to be Republican minded? Then I discovered Fox news. There's nothing like a little Bill O' Reilly and Shawn Hannitty to make one see just how little dense our own thinking might be! Our country has become one scary place, my friend. Thanks for watching! ...O' Bama in 2012!

  • Love your vid's. I was just wondering if the jw's made you despise the idea of a god. I personally just can't get over the complexity of life. What do you think? Is it all for nothing?

  • @Jbeliski I don't deny that there are answers yet to be found for so many profound questions. But there is far too much evidence - on so many, many levels - proving the Bible to be deeply flawed in so much of it's content. The same is true with all other "holy" writings. Somewhere in my life I realized that "I don't know" is the most honest and liberating answer of all. And yes, it may very possibly be all for nothing. Thanks for watching!

  • I'm an Atheist, a Humanist and a free thinking Skeptic. Life is so much more amazing now then it was under the rules of these men posing as God's chosen, trying as hard as they could to shove you in their little bird cages.

But I fully agree, I say we hang Santa for genital mutilation, covering up sex abuse, snorting coke and renting hookers with donations... or wait, that was the Pope?

Actually I rather worship Santa then just about any God tell you the truth.

  • @SpecialPioneerSmerf Thanks for watching, Smerfy. The only thing I found creepy about Santa was the idea that he sees me when I am sleeping and he knows when I'm awake and then makes a list about it and checks it twice. Was my parents aware of this?

  • You're a humanist then?

  • @Sheraseven I don't know what a humanist is but it sounds like a good thing. If it is, you can count me in!

  • @pianodavy Its like you just believe in people, not religion.

  • Excellent, excellent video. Hate gets such a bad rap.

  • @hilldiggity Thanks so much, Sis.

  • Haha Santa haters. Sure. Glad you chimed in at the appropriate time on such a current topic.I'm an agnostic who is calling herself an atheist now anyway because it is sort of a form of atheism.

  • @Sheraseven Yeah, I've been thinking about calling myself atheist also.

  • Men give God a bad name; God is guilty by association; an accessory after the fact. Point your finger at someone; and you'll see that there are four fingers pointing back at you. We are all searching for understanding. Glad to see that' you are too.

  • @GreatDepressionTwo :Let's face reality, whether the names are bad or good or hard to pronounce or controversial or whatever - yes, indeed, men have given "God" his name. If it was up to me I would call him "Al Capone".

  • ISLAM IS THE TRUTH !!!

  • @MOADAM2010 Thank you for your wise words.

  • @Templehatchet : YOUR WELCOME BUT WHAT DO YOU REALLY MEAN :) ???

  • @MOADAM2010 There is a key on your keyboard to the left that says Caps Lock. Press key and then type.

  • @Templehatchet : I USE 2 HAVE A BETTER VIEW ;) !!!

    WHATS YOUR TRUTH ;) ???

  • @MOADAM2010 Yeah, I'm expecting a lot more Neanderthal quotes. It's truthfully dangerous, deceptive, dishonorable, disenchanting, disrespectful and dead to delivering any sort of real progress of humans advancing themselves into any sort of meaningful global society. It stands equal with all of the other bullshit organizers called religion.

  • @pianodavy : OOH REALLY AND YOU ARE A SCHOLAR OF IT :) ????

  • @MOADAM2010 A blind man could easily see the fruitage of Islam - the religion of peace? Give me a break.

  • @pianodavy : ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN ;) ???

  • @pianodavy WHAT lol

  • Fricken great vid man! I have the same thoughts and thanks for putting them out there. It seems the further I distance myself from religious nuts the more my eyes are opened. As a human race we do not need some psychopathic mythical deity running are lives and bang on about politics, buisness and religion in bed with reach other. It is a trinity of control, lies and hate.

  • @Templehatchet I very very appreciate your comment. I've seen so many atheists politely putting up with the right-wing creatards bullshit and we all know it is in the name of sustaining a field of brain washed religious constituents who have got their heads up their asses. The sad thing is, they are bulldozing away so much of the progress of science to erect such whore houses such as their "creation museums" and their attempts to force "intelligent design" in science classes. It makes me sick!

  • I totally agree about Madeline O'hare. School isn't the place for religion, I still see her point. I could see it even when I was a JW believer. I am not an atheist either, but I too totally get where they are coming from. I get it. Some atheist however, can be as pushy as some theists.

    You make very good points.

  • @Danmera Thanks so very much, Sis.

  • Good point. VERY good point.

  • @Theadmirablebuterfli Thank you.

  • What, what...Santa isn't real?

  • @Danmera You never heard of the Gingrich who stole Christmas? He's actually Santa with his beard shaved.

  • @pianodavy Oh thank george.

  • @Danmera Not to worry mein fraulein for I have seen Santa at many places this time of the year on my travels.

  • @Templehatchet You are my hero, the wind beneath my wings.

  • thanks bro! god or no god it is true mankind has had a on going search for god and it is still going on today in science research thus the search for the god partical WTF is that all about? LOL maybe we can get fox news to give us a answer...ha...ha...

  • @clnmyjts Thanx Russ - Have you ever done any videos on that particle collider? Man, that machine is the biggest monster ever! Some people have thought that the machine can actually create something of a black hole and the earth would collapse in itself in a matter of moments! I'm pretty sure the physicists would have looked into that scenario, though (I hope!).

  • @pianodavy no I haven`t done any video`s on the hadron collider but I sure have looked into it ( particle accelerator studies have been around a long time and the TV is a bye product of studying particle acceleration. My dad went to school to learn how to work on TVs in the 60s.. so I know a little about the picture tube gun that shoots the electrons on the inside of the TV tube screen. Here is a video on some history; The History of Particle Accelerator Physics /watch?v=VYLbqznIkiU
