I never thought much of Paul McCartney as a bassist until I actually listened to 'Abbey Road' seriously. Listen to his basslines here, especially all of the parts starting with 'P. Pan'. I've been trying to learn and duplicate all the parts for the past few weeks on my bass. The guy seriously rips it here. Just incredible, innovative musicianship.

TRIVIA TIME....the cover of this album....and the title... was thought up by Ringo Star. The beatles were supposed to shoot the photos for this album cover up in some remote, snow covered mountain....a well known mountain who's name escapes me. When it came right down to it, none of them wanted to pack up and go on this photo shoot. Ringo said.....why don't we just go outside and shoot the photos near the studio and Call it "Abby Road"......and as they say....the rest is history

Good thing Ringo thought of something So much simpler lol, all they had to do was walk outside to do the photo shoot.
