Very sad to see Java Joe's torn down. I believe that they rebuilt it somewhere else, but it's just not the same. Best concerts I have ever seen were at that place. I think Jewel started there also...

nope, he left when he got some real publicity, and the place shut down not long after. amazing to watch him go from a young raw talent, kinda nervous and free shows, to $10 sell out shows and then fast forward to now. those boys rocked the house.
