I have just ordered th GLobetrotter which comes with a much bigger solar panel that can charge the Freeloader up in 4 hours they eckon. Would imagine here in Oz.............it will be all good. Will charge even in ambient light where the sun is obscured by cloud. Will let you know how it goes. The Freeloader holds charge for up to three months and bettery life is 2 years.
to the poster jcw138 i only say , if you are in britain its completely normal you take that long to charge have you look into the sun ??? or just the bright clouds, in Portugal the sun is very strong so you can charge things in the time indicated in the manual
if you are in the wilds having some free power just from the sun for emergencies i think its great , but if you need something more powerful you can just buy another , there are some at 200 euros or 250 dollas of 20000mAh charging in about 10 h , not bad i think , this small freeloader is only 1000mAh
great review-- cool gadget !
