  • Prague Airport - Czech republic - EU :-D

  • I don't know either. When I fly IFR I set heading bug to final approach course to have reference (how much course deviation I have for LOC corrections). But here in 510, you don't have only HDG select, but also different options on MCP. You can set something like LNAV and the A/P takes data from G1000. HDG bug could be set anywhere, but airplane would follow selected path. This was CAVOK weather and light traffic, so I think he just forgot:).

  • great vid. one thing: i never understand how pilots, especially in a Jet, would just leave the heading bug set at, here, 40 degree's askew of our Approach Course heading?? that to me, is a habit that needs to get included in a before landing and/or approach checklist. it just bothers me. wouldn't you want that HDG bug, slewed directly ahead, in the event you say, did a go around, and needed to re-engage the AP, and a lateral mode, such as HEADING!!!! Lol! just sayin'
