i really love rx7s, especially fds but is it true you have to rebuild the motor like every 30k or less miles because of its rotary type engine?

@12danny21 its not true but it really depends on what you plan on doing to it. i have an 87 fc turbo II. it has 130,000 miles on it and it was only rebuilt once and its had alot done to it. if you change the oil every 3k miles and check your oil frequently you dont have to rebuild it. i know people who have rx7s that havent been rebuilt and have 200k miles. you just cant let them sit long or it wears the life out of them. thats the prob with the FDs people baby them & they dont get driven.

@12danny21 . false. my 90 GTU RX-7 finally died about 1 month ago. she finally blew a colant seal after haveing more than 207,000miles on a unrebiult motor.

now turbo motors typicly will giveout soon then my good old N/A but if taken care of are easily capable of 150K + miles before needing a rebiuld.
