Let's be honest... When you arrive to the Church in the Slums, how many of you purposely stayed in that one spot with the gate to get out of Midgar just to hear this song? I know I did!
if this game were to be remade( i highly doubt it)...just remaster it(improving graphics)...but keep everything else the same, cuz some people might complain that they change way too much..lololol
no offencce but why the hell have rubbish graphics still.. ff7 was the first in series to be 3d, therefor if this shit gets remade/ all they would do is add more dimensions lol, thats not bad to all you dumb old asses who say not to change anything..
@defcalledque ((It was actually done perfectly the way it was done then and stays true to today. the limitations gave a whole character that current generation consoles won't add to, just make it flashier and prettier.))
There are no plans of FFVII remake this time, Square Enix admitted themselves that the game is so old, and old fans have made their own personal view of the whole game, and if they happened to change it even a little bit, old fans would strongly disagree and hate it.
I appreciate Square Enix for that. Even though they also said that it's not impossible.
In my opinion, there is no need for remake. The game is perfect as it is. If you get over the graphics and see beneath the surface, you'd agree.
Barret "Well, what do we do now?" Cloud "Sephiroth is alive. I... I have to settle the score." Barret "And that'll save the Planet?" Cloud "Seems like it." Barret "Awright, I'm going." Aerith "I'll go too. I have things that I want to find out." Cloud "About the Ancients?" Aerith "Many things." Tifa "I guess this's good bye, Midgar." Red XIII "I'm going back to my hometown. Rest in peace zack fair you were the best friend i ever had then you gave your life up to keep mine when they did nothing wrong to you i should be up there not you rest in peace
this music is beautiful. it portrays exactly the epic mission ahead of you at this point in the game. the long, weary, sad, happy and joyous 60 hours or so.
you could never have a fucking relaxed walk to coral without having to fight every two seconds by some big bird and 3 little ones.
then you finally get to the drawbridge bit and you think you are nearly there only to have to fight those awful big red bomb every 10 paces that just dont die
@THEoneNILS No. This game shouldn't be remade, it would have different music, different maps, different graphics... Would ruin this game for what it is: A Masterpiece.
@Jostra123 That all depends if Square-Enix wants to over produce it like they did in FF13. He's right tho, you don't have to play a remake, just stick to the classic and you'll be set.
@THEoneNILS Honestly dude... Do you have any hope that remake will have the same atmosphere like old FF7? I don't think so. Let FF7 stay awesome like it is.
@THEoneNILS Well sure ff7 is old and an remake with new graphics would be awsome and i've always wanted a remake of this game. But now that i think about it maybe it's not the smartest thing to do. I mean the graphics, the cosy atmosphere, the sometimes blurry animations, the midi music and just reading through the story yourself made ff7 for what it is. I love final fantasy 7 to but maybe the smartest thing to do is just hang on to those memories we had and enjoy the game as it is(:
Haha, the first time i played this, I got to this part RIGHT before my Dad was gonna drop me off back with my Mom and I could NOT wait to check out that huge world map.
Hey. I am a massive fan of final fantasy, if any of you fans out there want to discuss final fantasy and its music, just visit my blog. It's for those of you out there who truly appreciate the awesomeness of final fantasy.

@Gracking666 itsokay but why the hell u worship the devil with "666" ? I am also different, but enemy slayed me like cloud and now my thoughts are messy. I need to find my enemy and kill it.
@Gracking666 You're right in that this game makes you think. Definitely best played through adolescence, which is, ironically, when most of us picked it up. But it does bring a more cosmic sense to your being, it's a real eye opener, battling past death just to save a dying world around you. It brings the real world that much closer! ;) But CoD rocks there's nothing wrong with mindless murder, so long as you play Final Fantasy every once in a while to balance it out!
@Gracking666 I counldn't agree more. This game had EVERYTHING. Humor, art, love, war, sadness, action, mystery. I like CoD but I'd say maybe I spent 30 hours playing CoD total, and uncountable time playing FF7. That should really tell you something.
@Gracking666 WTF AT COD. I had COD 1 on PC but this game came out years before that. back then most my friends just played goldeneye, as did I, but I played this game and so did the other dorky people I know. I dislike JRPGs but FF7 is SOOOOOO good that is is one of my favorite games ever.
@Omnicloudx13 It was Mt. Corel when you climb up to the birds nest to find the 10 Phoenix Downs. Yeah, I can't believe I remember it that well either.
I lost my original copy of the game, but i re-bought the thing again, just because i love FFVII so bad. now i still leave it on to listen to the music, as my lullaby and wake-up song. my mom gets mad when she'd hear it in the middle of the night, but i just love the music, it calms me.
Everyone. Reading your comments brings tears to me and the nostalgia. The best game ever made and will ever made. FF7 takes psychological insights to all true rpg gamers. The feeling of true emotions beyond physical emotional.
I can't describe how gaming is today where graphics is the only wagon of it. And that's what I hate about it.
I want to share with everyone share memories things and everything. FF series epic perfect. :'( *tears
@FFfreakepic03 Hey, hey, hey! FFVII is great and beast in JRPGs world, but don't forget such giants as FFVIII and IX (not including SNES ones and FFX). I know it's your opinion, but FFVII isn't THE best game ever made, it's ONE of the best games.
I played this one before FFVIII, IX, X, etc. but can't choose my favourite, 'cause the perfect fan always goes for all favourites as one!
P.S. Actually, MGS series are No.1 for me, however I knew FF series much earlier.
I just listened to this for the first time and it makes me think of what it must be like to have a mom love me and how maybe one day in heaven i'll have one that will love me and fill every need i've always lacked since I was a young child. Someone to love me unconditionally. And I like the fact that God will always love me more than a mother ever could. And in the same deep, unconditional way. Even better, he'll provide for me a mother all the same as well.
Ahhh the memories of embarking on the bigger part of the story of FF7. This track always holds a nostalgic feeling for me. The conversation between the group as they take leadershipe from barret and suggest the cloud is put incharge XDXDXD.
I am so going to play this game again ^________^ I was nine when I played it the first time. Back then I was so-o-o-o emotional. In retrospect I have lost a lot since then. ^_^ maybe I can feel more again through this game.
once i stood outside the gates of midgar i was a little nervous about what will happen once i left to go on my journey. once i stood on the world map i fully understood what it really meant. never give up never give in and always be willing to let go and move on.
I love this soundtrack so much. Nobuo Uematsu is the reason I started writing music, I heard his music 14 years ago and haven't stopped writing since.
I remember thinking this was the end of the game, when I first played this at age 9... Shinra was dead, and everything was looking lovely. Then I looked down on the floor and noticed 2 more discs. ^^
@decoyoctopusra Such good times, why dont they make a remake already, why did they make ffXIV-2 or whatever the hell it is nowadays (I honestly dont care if I got it wrong, im not playing that linear piece of crap anyways I'd rather play skyrim.) How are they ignorant to the fact that remaking ff7 will make square-enix respectable again?
It seems once every 2 years or so, for the past 14 years; I sit down and listen to music from Final Fantasy 7... and I remember a little boy! Completely Immersed in a fictional world; full of danger, mystery, wisdom, love, courage, hope, and friends. A fictional world I visit in my mind every few years...
@MasterFreezer I remember that, it was a great feeling...like all this crap came off my shoulder...and i was set off into the amazing world ahead of me.
@xinito777 -___- tastless reply. how does it feel knowing over Billions of people hate you? you have no idea what your saying shut up and lick my ballz biotch
@MrHaikuist Sure, offer unneeded, unwanted and just downright condescending input on a conversation that didn't have ANYTHING to do with YOU in the first place, act as if you've done nothing wrong, make me look like the bad guy, then walk away as if you're totally innocent. It's people like you who need to be struck repeatedly and mercilessly with a large, blunt object until they learn to take some fucking responsibility for their impulsively rude actions. God-forbid you raise a child like you!!
@Jokerfaic dude calm down its just a comment so what dont get your ego all hurt just because two people dont realy agree with just calm down and move on (not trying to start an argument or anything) dont ya think it was rather childish to reply in such a rude manner you didnt have to get all defencive they were just pointing something out aith nothin to get piss off about
@Dosumarushi That's exactly it though, it was just a comment. They're the ones who decided to confront me about it. all of this could've been avoided if they just let me say what I wanted to in the first place and kept their damn condescension to themselves.
@MrHaikuist You ever wonder why some people are reluctant to try new things...? Snooty-ass people like you who think they're damn lifestyle critics. Let others say what they want and mind your own fucking business.
Yeah... FF 13 isn't like the other FF's, it should just be called another game. It's focusing on progressive play instead of interactive play. Which isn't FF's foundation.
@Jusseppe kiss my ass, it's not my fault a million others have done it on OTHER videos. Besides, I liked the video... And the three who didn't deserve recognition.
@Jusseppe I'm not trying to get attention, though. In fact, most people (from MY experience mind you) Don't really expect to get their comments replied on, let alone liked or disliked. They just say what they want and move on. The way I see it, it's the replier that shows the real interest in those kinds of posts, not that I'm trying to shift blame or anything.
I was a sophomore in high school when I first played this game. I shall never forget this particular music. I had spent many hours in Midgar. After the motorcycle chase sequence, I remember the party standing outside of the city with this music in the background. I realized that the game had really just begun. So many possibilities, so many decisions... the sky was the limit.
@Kev95682 Totally feel you on that. It more reminds me of the mountians right after Costa Del Sol right before you get to the reactor on the mountian where Cloud is standing at the top and the sunlight is shining. Perfect spot to relax to the music. Anyone know what im talking about?
@Kev95682 yea after you had spent like 10 hours into the game, you thought you were maybe halfway thru the game, that is until you left midgar and then realized it really just started.
It's scenes like the one outside of Midgar that makes Final Fantasy VII my favourite game of all time. It's tiny details like that which can make a game a masterpiece and separate it from the rest. That feeling of "the sky was the limit", rarely does a game make you feel that much emotion or interest.
The other title "Dear To the Heart." Seems more fitting to me. Because that's what FFVII is to me. Dear To the Heart. And it always will be. I played many games before and after this but few impacted me as much with their characters and story. This great adventure opened me up to a lot of experiences I never would've had otherwise. It shaped who I am. Few games can do that. It made me play more FFs and Square games that gave me even more wonderful experiences. Thank you Square. Long live FF.
Anyone remember the chills they felt before embarking on the journey when you stand at the gate of Midgar for the very first time? Little did we know what was about to happen :)
Seeing this game with all it had to offer, it makes you wonder what exactly is going on with Square-Enix these days. I have yet to see a truly decent FF game since FFX. Excluding spinoffs.
@Tekudo Totally agree, FFX was so dang good, I liked FFXII, but I wasn't connected with the characters like I usually am. I feel lucky that i got to experience FF7-X in my childhood
@MajorSYTYCDfan The problem with 12 was just that. It was like the characters weren't that important at all. I didn't connect with a single one of them. Also the story was kind of bland. Like a watered down FF6.
Let's be honest... When you arrive to the Church in the Slums, how many of you purposely stayed in that one spot with the gate to get out of Midgar just to hear this song? I know I did!

@shadeslay406 Indeed. My heart tingles with nostalgia.

I remember thinking this was the end of the game, when I first played this at age 9... Shinra was dead, and everything was looking lovely. Then I looked down on the floor and noticed 2 more discs. ^^

@decoyoctopusra i was very chocked when I first got out of midgar and saw the world. it was... HUGE...

@MrHaikuist Final Fantasy7 is the best game ever made. This is some of the most beautiful music I ever heard.
ehe3000 7 months ago
@MrHaikuist Sure, offer unneeded, unwanted and just downright condescending input on a conversation that didn't have ANYTHING to do with YOU in the first place, act as if you've done nothing wrong, make me look like the bad guy, then walk away as if you're totally innocent. It's people like you who need to be struck repeatedly and mercilessly with a large, blunt object until they learn to take some fucking responsibility for their impulsively rude actions. God-forbid you raise a child like you!!
Jokerfaic 7 months ago
@Jokerfaic dude calm down its just a comment so what dont get your ego all hurt just because two people dont realy agree with just calm down and move on (not trying to start an argument or anything) dont ya think it was rather childish to reply in such a rude manner you didnt have to get all defencive they were just pointing something out aith nothin to get piss off about
Dosumarushi 7 months ago
@Dosumarushi That's exactly it though, it was just a comment. They're the ones who decided to confront me about it. all of this could've been avoided if they just let me say what I wanted to in the first place and kept their damn condescension to themselves.

i actually loved 13, i thought it was a master piece.
ROSPoetry1 8 months ago
Yeah... FF 13 isn't like the other FF's, it should just be called another game. It's focusing on progressive play instead of interactive play. Which isn't FF's foundation.

greatest final fantasy and game ever made, now fuck the haters, ff13 was a peace of shit.

@Jokerfaic Oh I love the song as well. But these kind of attention seeking comments are really starting to get annoying.
Jusseppe 8 months ago
@Jusseppe I'm not trying to get attention, though. In fact, most people (from MY experience mind you) Don't really expect to get their comments replied on, let alone liked or disliked. They just say what they want and move on. The way I see it, it's the replier that shows the real interest in those kinds of posts, not that I'm trying to shift blame or anything.

My PSX Gamebox from FFVII stands in my glass cabinet. I could stand hours in front of it, think about how good it was etc.
Btw: I've got all the OST from FFVII on my Ipod, and i love it to listen to them in the morning, when i'm going to work. :)

Kev95682 9 months ago 85
@Kev95682 Totally feel you on that. It more reminds me of the mountians right after Costa Del Sol right before you get to the reactor on the mountian where Cloud is standing at the top and the sunlight is shining. Perfect spot to relax to the music. Anyone know what im talking about?

@Kev95682 yea after you had spent like 10 hours into the game, you thought you were maybe halfway thru the game, that is until you left midgar and then realized it really just started.

wiimanify 7 months ago
@Kev95682
It's scenes like the one outside of Midgar that makes Final Fantasy VII my favourite game of all time. It's tiny details like that which can make a game a masterpiece and separate it from the rest. That feeling of "the sky was the limit", rarely does a game make you feel that much emotion or interest.
brendude95 5 months ago
@Kev95682
That is also one of my most distinct memories from this game... such an amazing experience, playing this game for the first time.
11notintheface 4 months ago in playlist Final Fantasy VII OST
The other title "Dear To the Heart." Seems more fitting to me. Because that's what FFVII is to me. Dear To the Heart. And it always will be. I played many games before and after this but few impacted me as much with their characters and story. This great adventure opened me up to a lot of experiences I never would've had otherwise. It shaped who I am. Few games can do that. It made me play more FFs and Square games that gave me even more wonderful experiences. Thank you Square. Long live FF.

Seeing this game with all it had to offer, it makes you wonder what exactly is going on with Square-Enix these days. I have yet to see a truly decent FF game since FFX. Excluding spinoffs.
Tekudo 10 months ago
@Tekudo Totally agree, FFX was so dang good, I liked FFXII, but I wasn't connected with the characters like I usually am. I feel lucky that i got to experience FF7-X in my childhood
MajorSYTYCDfan 10 months ago
@MajorSYTYCDfan The problem with 12 was just that. It was like the characters weren't that important at all. I didn't connect with a single one of them. Also the story was kind of bland. Like a watered down FF6.
