In regards to the New Orleans statement, their are also some things to look a little closer at on this subject as well. Remember what happened after the hurricane? Remember the widespread looting, not for necessities, but for electronics, t.v.'s, dvd players, and computers? Maybe he had this image in mind beforehand? What about the problems that they had within the dome? Maybe scumbag wasn't the best choice of word, but there is more to it than hurt feelings.

Well, here's the thing. Tragedy happens to everyone. Not always on this scale, but parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, wives, and husbands die every day. The families of these people, who were not killed in an event of the same magnitude of the victims of 9/11, get nothing. So why should the families of 9/11 victims receive anything more? Because the deaths their loved ones had historical significance? Look beyond the emotions that are initially elicited by a statement.

If I judge someone on the basis of a stupid remark they made back in 2005 or 2006--without looking at it in the context of everything else this person has said or done--how does that make me any better? Watch GBTV this week and next, while it's free. Or read "The 7 Wonders That Will Change Your Life" by Beck. A very different guy will emerge than what HuffPo loves to portray.
