  • I'm reading this book right now (cried after I read the chapter about Holbrook and Mathilda!). I plan to watch the series after I finish. Is it any good?

  • 1:20 over and over and over again!!! <3

Put no further pastries to your lips, for you will choke when you hear the news!

  • they used Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade from 1:22-1:50!!!!!!!

  • "Put no further pastries to your lips, for you will choke when you hear the news..." Best line...ever!!!

  • Is this a love story?

  • @ezeltiki there are several love stories involved in this one :) One between the new physician in town, Dr. Harrison (and several women on accident, one at heart), one between a new neighbor in town and her father's army comrade, one between the maid and the carpenter, one between the younger of the spinster sisters the Misses Jenkyns and an old flame. LOTS of love stories in this one.

  • This was absolutely splendid. I loved all the delicious old ladies! So many laughs!

  • This is an awesome and a hilarious story! Everyone should see this! It's brilliant :)

  • I love bbc's period drama .........greatings from Egypt

  • Miss Pole is absolutely brilliant.

  • It's Michael Gambon again!

  • Is Michael Gambon in EVERY period movie? My goodness, he's incredible.

  • @thinkgood I don't really mind if he's in every single thing that's filmed from now on, I adore him!

  • Aww Simon Woods as the doctor, how wicked.

I can't wait to see this.

  • Worst book ever. God. So boring.

  • im screwed..have to read this thing in two weeks. fml.

  • This movie looks awesome! Today, I went onto Amazon and bought a boxed set of Elizabeth Gaskell books-turned-movie. The set includes Cranford, North and South, and Wives and Daughters. The only movie out of those that I have seen so far is N & S, but I can tell that I will love the other two also. I can't wait until it arrives!!

  • North and South is defenitely worth watching! If you like ''Jane Austen times'' - romance and gentlemenism you would absolutely adore it! I compare it with Pride and Prejudice

  • @signezelte I agree!

  • Isn't this gentleman mr. Bingley? =D

  • that's what i thought! from the p&p 05 version :)

  • Yep! Cute ain't he?

  • @Roverann Yes, Simon Wood is Mr. Bingley from Pride & Prejudice, Dr. Harrison in Crandford, and I believe he was in Penelope with Christina Ricci

  • Isn't that gentleman Mr. Carson ? =>

  • Anyone know what the song is in the beginning of this? The one with the flutes?

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • has this been uploaded yet????????
