I never get the comments 'Us British' and 'We British are good at this and that', because what exactly is 'British' anymore? Any old person can come here and get a British passport, does that make them British?

It's like saying 'The Japanese are good at this', then me emigrating to Japan, and claiming I'm a part of them, it's ridiculous.

Sad in some ways. Lots of 'pals' regiments marched off just like that and whole towns and villages lost a generation.

I would love to have taken part in the making of this advert as Hovis Bread is something us British are good at, its not just making bread but the best film & TV adverts in the world.

I was one of the minors at the front on the strike! It was an interesting day filming!

When they were filming the 1960s scenes on the last day, on the last take, the director said that as Brian was a Scotland fan, he could make a rude sign at the fans in the car as they passed by. They gave him a DVD of the advert after filming and it included a version with that take in it!

Full advert is 122 seconds long, to commemorate the fact that Hovis is 122yrs old. Advert will be shown on the 12th September before Corrie and during it. For the first time ever, Corrie bosses have delayed the start of the show in order to show the advert in full.

I was lucky enough to see the storyboard before this went up, and know someone in the advert. Well done to those in it. Can't wait for this advert to come out.
