Vista is a lot more stable than any previous microsoft OS and a lot faster too.

Yes it needs RAM and a fast PC, but give the same high spec PC to an XP user and XP simply wont keep up. XP lets idle ram sit there doing nothing, Vista uses every single bit and caches files.

You must be some cheap ass that downloaded a copied version and then installed it on your broke ass PC.

TomsHardware found Vista to run major application benchmarks up to 91% slower than XP. Vista is run with 2GB ram most effieciently , because it's new it has many troubles included,and if you are using a laptop even with 512 mb ram do not load vista,have a desktop pc instead.

ANI file is VERY common on a windows PC, its and Animated Cursor, do a scan for *.ani files on you PC "*" simply means "any file" so you are searchng for "any file ending in .ani" got it?

Well, it is frustrating to see people use inferior products. Their are pluses to both sides, PC have more choices for internal hardware and software and more competitive prices (at the consumer level anyway), Macs have the best interface and industrial design and most secure OS. I use a mac, sometimes linux, and occasionally a PC. I just don't get the big deal, it does piss me off the Microsoft does like nothing original, but thats a moral issue.

Again, the soul reason Microsoft doesn't completely change their OS at a fundamental is the fact that they have a HUGE client base. You can change you're product as radically as Mac does, and keep your costumers. People get easily confused, and they leave if they can't understand a new interface. Hence, Microsoft, in order to keep the hundreds of millions of users around they have around the world, only make minor revisions to their OS.

Uhhh... If you'd look at the details of virtually every virus created in recent times, you'd find that essentially all of them are aimed at consumer machines, and a DoS is SOP. Why? Because consumers are clueless, and inherently easy targets.

Catch this one and try to fix it with the task manager and that silly excuse for a command prompt. Then let us know how it went, after you get your computer back from the shop.
