These works (set to music) are of the most beautiful pieces of artistic illustrations imaginable!!

A sad point: The folks shown in the pictures are either dead or dying.

    Get out while your young.

  • aah....back when imaginations were strong and aerodynamics didnt matter...

  • exelent video

  • This era is shit. These cars are awesome

  • Super cool rides.

  • Notice all of these cars and trucks are American made! I love them!

  • maybe the reason why people love the 50's so much is because WWII just ended, thumbs up if u agree!!!!

  • love when the old cars are using WHITE WALL tires!!!

  • This was great, all those gorgeous cars! How can there even be 6 people who didn't like this?

  • These cars are awesome!! 1959 Cadillac is my dream car. Fuck today's style cars and smart cars!! Bring these looks back!!!!!!!

  • Every car today looks EXACTLY the same to me.

  • Why can't we go back with these designs?

  • Just wonderful!!!!!!!!!

  • Man I bet there were no problems at all back then, everything seemed so perfect! Ahhh you smell that? Smells like....Freedom! :)

  • cars from this era look like shit compared to the 50's damn i wish i was born in 1950!

  • damn! everyone had a car with style at that time!

  • Now those were AUTOMOBILES, not just cars, & not a ricer to be seen!! Pure automotive wet dreams!! I grew up in the 50's & 60's & the few foriegn cars you saw then were MG's, VW's etc. The ricers started in the mid 60's. Those were the days!

  • I feel soooooooooooo damn old right now, as I remeber how my dad and I couldnt wait to go down to the local Chevrolet dealership to see what the newe cars would look like!!! I miss the excitement and the anticipation we shared , Back when they did more than add a new decal, or add another sensor to the computer!! bring back some new ideas and sell us something we can rely on to still be running after we make the last payment!!! "ANOTHER DREAM BITES THE DUST!!!

  • A glimpse of heaven!

  • Those days where when cars had personality, cars were more than just machines that got you from point A to point B.

I don't care how efficient or fast any japanese car is, Id give so much to have some of these vehicles.

  • The 50s and 60s had the best music and the best looking cars. The 50s and 60s was Americas peak. The US had risen from the beginning then the 30s and 40s and after ww2 peaking in the late 60s, then in the mid 70s began the slippery slope down.

  • My favorite car in this video is the silver '58 Buick Limited at 1:16.

  • 1:03 first SUV? Anyway I wish cars still looked cool.

  • @2010mustang2 now they either have stupid looking spoilers or just ugly a-s vinyls from crappy tire LOL

  • @2010mustang2 that is a 1960 International Travelall

  • Who sings this version of "If Life Could Be A Dream"?

  • That was fun.... I had a few of these, now I remember why I miss them,.... big, beautiful, American engineering. Thanks.

  • This is soooo great! Thanks for making the video :)

  • Hi come see my cars

  • what was the longest car eva built in the 50's?

  • @dmc081 probably a Caddy'

  • IT'S AWESOME!!! THANK YOU!

  • Ford Actually failed to revive one of the classics which is the Thunderbird.

The companies are now aiming for the new market as the old faithful ones are a small population and isn't enough to keep them running.

The reason why cars nowadays look the same is because they're so obsessed with each other that they end up making the same cars. Take Mercedes for instance, they dominated the industry with their new CLS back then but now even Hyundai with its new Sonata is following.

  • If we could make these cars get the mpg of a prius or close, I would drives these mainly.

  • Where do you find these Brilliant images?

  • Hey #UN#, If you want us to post any of your videos on our account, just send us a message a let us know which one. We'll post it right away & circulate it too.

also the 1953 ford pick up

  • these car are classics

  • some of those cars are big enough to live in.

  • I had a 1959 Mercury Commuter one of the most beautiful cars ever...American cars in the 50's 60's can't be beat!

  • i have an national geographic book from 1930 and its got brand new 1930 car ads like chrysler and dodge, buick, ford and cord

  • I got a few old National Geographics aswell oldest I have is 1919 there pretty cool!

  • what was that movie about a car designer? it had a song in it that goes "catch that tiger"

  • whats the name of the car at the biggining

  • @theone91109

Looks like an old pontiac lemans... I can't say for sure, but it is a GM vehicle.

  • after i get older i hope to get a project weve worked on for years. An original 1950s chevy pickup. we have upgraded the engine and the pumps and everything. polished the outro. even changed the pickup parts metal braces. its gonna be soooo sweeet. im gonna keeep it in a garage so i can at least say i have on classic car. not to drive (cept for a spin round the neighborhood)

  • this song was from clue

  • What's the song called? It's PERFECT for cars like these. =D

  • sh boom

  • the song is Life Could Be A Dream.

  • beautifull cars..........but a prefer the after-war style (1935-1944)

  • ....... the war ended in 1945.....how can "(1935 - 1944) be "after-war style" cars?

  • What a great video! Who did the song?

  • The end was coming after the oil crisis of the late 70s, cars became fuel efficient boxes. That and the bad safety records of those old cars. Plus now cars are just a way to get from A to B. It isnt some incredible new invention or something that nobody ever had before - people start driving from the age of 16 these days. A car was more of a luxury or a toy back then. Now its just a necessity to go to the grocery market.

  • Indeed! Why don't these car manufacturers today get the message? Bring back some individual styling to cars. You could tell immediately a Ford from a Buick from a Packard. In my opinion, most cars today all try to look the same -- no real lines to them - DULL, DULL, DULL!!!

  • There were a lot more imagination in the US car industry back in those days - at least when i comes to styling. Any of these cars are a miracle of beauty if you compare with a Cadillac Escalade, any of the latest Dodge, Chrysler, most Chevrolet and Fords.... Or the horrible refrigerator look-a-like Hummer.

  • @niswel So true

  • So true

  • Comment removed

  • America's hayday! God I miss those times.

  • only some

  • BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD PACKARD! Cars had some style and individuality in those days. Seems today all cars try to look alike. Some of the cheaper cars today look like the more expensive ones and vice versa. In my opinion anyway

    :-)

  • Nothing in the world can compare to the American Car. I never forget all the Russian and Chinese crap I drove in Russia. God Bless America.

  • Screw this era the 50's was were the sweet cars are at.

  • @pokeunleashed I agree!

  • My uncle still owns a 1948 Tucker Torpedo and in good condition too.

  • Ah the good ol days the 50's,where corvette's only costs $2000 i wish i could live in the 50's *SIGH* too bad i don't have a delorean,Flux Capacitor and the brains of doc emmet brown if i had those i would shoot up to 88 then WOOSH back in the 50's LOLLOL

  • yep the 48 tucker was the for runner of all the great cars of the fifties too bad Mr. Tucker was not credit for that but drug thew court and the big 3 car company stole his idea after they got him out of the way sad very sad

  • my grandpop was friends with a guy who owned a tucker torpedo when they made them. white i think.

  • ok his friend had the white one I called that one the Tucker's ghost or the white ghost ....

  • What name of this song??

  • I'm not sure of the song name, but it sounds like The Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

  • My father had a '61 Plymouth Belvedere, with the fins and two tone paint, one of the most beautiful cars you ever seen!

  • The song title is "Sh-Boom", not sure about the composer though.

  • Back in the glory days of the big 3, if I could go back in time I'd choose to live in that time instead of this one.

  • A fine collection of the master classics - superb.

  • Good old American iron

  • whats that song?

  • Skatt Bros - Life At The Outpost

  • crap you rolled me....nice one -.-

  • The Sisterspure community of the Old Hundred* has three 1936 eight cylinder Oldsmobiles which are shared among residents for their personal use around their eighty acre township. The cars are in very good original condition. They were originally bought by a wealthy pastoralist who kept them in a darkened stone building on his cattle station in the northern region of South Australia. Lovely old cars, one has a valve radio fitted.

  • i wish i lived in the 1950s but nooooooo000000oooooi have to live in the 2000s

  • I'll take the cars and the music you can have the rest of it including the smokers.

  • very quality post my man! ..

  • Neat vintage auto vid!

    Thanks for posting!

    John

  • Putting a collage together on video is harder than it looks. Many factors have to come together to make it work. Excellent job, great choice of autos too.

  • Some of the best drawings are of the '52 and '53 Nashes, the '53-'58 Buicks, and the post-'59 Pontiacs...Arthur Kaufman and Van Fitzpatrick, the "AK" and "VF" you see in every single Pontiac ad and most Pontiac brochures from '59 through '72...they were the very best illustrators of their day!

  • Notice the use of paintings, not photographs. From the late 50's the cars were made to look bigger by reducing the height and increasing the width and length in the paintings.

  • Excellent stuff

  • Thanks!

  • Nice work! I'm very impressed with the slide show, its transitions, and video effects. I particularly like the way you're able to pan across the still photos to create a video effect. Do you mind telling me what software you used to create this?

  • song reminds me of my old boss... he had on old caddy - his plate was "SHBOOM"

  • love the music..and the cars though they are just drawings of the originals are very nice i wish i could own one of those sweet hearts some time soon.

  • OMG i really like classic vehicles man...i look foward owning my own in the near future...
