i think its really good that people are saying the first time they heard humbug they did'nt like it but it grew on them. thats the sign of a great album. everytime i listen to it it keeps getting better and showing different qualities.

Humbug is an album that requires the listener to adjust to it. It took me a bit of time to get use to it, but it's grown on me tremendously. I've come to realize it's the sound that I've always been wanting to hear my whole life. I think everyone has a dark side to them, and if not, then it sure is present in me and Arctic Monkeys. Humbug is my shadow.

The production on this song is amazing. The way instruments drop out and the bass gets boosted so you first notice it after the chorus, background vocals layer in, etc.
