  • all music is political in a way. All music is culture, especially pop songs which maintain ideological status quo. But its great if its fun :P x

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz no, love songs don't tend to tackle political issues but, in the words of Tom Morello, songs about love and driving your car end up, as I said above, maintaining the norm, mainstream attitudes, ideological status quo. So in that way they are serving a political purpose because they are securing dominant ideology, i.e. don't bother to use music to confront issues. Just spend your time in mindless distraction such as romance so we can exploiit you. Also pornogrind sounds ace! x

  • @PBANDSNOW he got his white (cream) gibson les paul from sylvain sylvain from the new york dolls. malcolm got it when he "managed" the new york dolls and got the guitar in america nd brought it back. but steve took burny copies of the guitar and fender amps he used.
