@SebbeSucksBawlz no, love songs don't tend to tackle political issues but, in the words of Tom Morello, songs about love and driving your car end up, as I said above, maintaining the norm, mainstream attitudes, ideological status quo. So in that way they are serving a political purpose because they are securing dominant ideology, i.e. don't bother to use music to confront issues. Just spend your time in mindless distraction such as romance so we can exploiit you. Also pornogrind sounds ace! x
