Besides, he does Lets Plays, wrestling reviews, Film reviews, Rifftrax-style things... games of the NES era etc are actually somewhat of a rarity for him. He reviews a lot more FMV stuff.

I'm sure at the time of its release this would have been one of my favourite games. It works well, I loved top-down games, and it is an altogether unique game.

@schtolteheim True, it was different from other games at the time. I remember playing it day and night with my best friend back then. We also watched the movie a hundred times and used to re-enact scenes out in the forest in summer. The guy in the video makes it a lot harder than it really is. Guess he just didn't bother. And I'm pretty sure, he didn't play it when it came out, the review would be different. :-)

To be honest, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves for NES ain't as bad as spoony says it is. Sure it has it flaws as every game does but I personally have enjoyed playing it alot. "Spoony is just bad at playing this game..."

The actual thing that bothers me in this game is that it is unfinished. You can clearly see lots of un-used elements such as head, leg and shoes equipment and lack of usage for money. Plus, if you take a look at the coding there are very many unused items and some that even works

Alright, it's amusing to poke fun at old games and all, but I have to defend one of my childhood favs here. While not perfect, this was a very playable and damn enjoyable action/rpg for the time. I'm not sure why he wants to make a good game look bad when there are so many legitimately awful ones out there. It has an awesome soundtrack, character evolution and development and great graphics (other than the character faces), and great gameplay. The only flaw in this game is that it is too short and should've had a save feature. The reviewer just doesn't like video games in general, especially rpgs.

Seconding this statement. It's a very well done, beautiful piece of gaming history, and I still love to play it, time after time.
