Hey man, I have almost exactly the same car, 11.11.1999 316i Compact (it has an engine from E46 series, 1.9 L with 105 HP and 150 Nm torque), which is my first card. It is very comfortable, the handling is also fine. But before buying it, make sure to find a car in a good technical shape. This car looks great because of the M-package (mine doesn't have it), but here the hood looks infested by rust, which is bad. The engine is also quite dynamic. Hard to find better car in this price,I paid €2.7k

my dad has got the black 318ti version with the 5 spoke wheels (found in the z3 as well)
