Definitely not the best replica, but then again, it would be almost impossible to replicate the sword for it to actually work. The katana is made from a metal that doesn't even exist, and the way that the weight is in proportion to the length would make it truly impossible for a normal human to wield successfully, which is why only Sephiroth can use it.

The only replica of this sword I've seen functionally work, is on a youtube video that for some odd reason, is blocked in most countries. Why does it work? Because the guy went to an expert swordsmith, and had him make an actual replica of the sword. Same with the buster sword's actual replica, even though it took the guy apparently forever to figure out how to wield the damn thing.

unfortunatly there can never be a true replica of the Masamune because the physics are impossible

the blade is far too long and heavy to be supported

if you lifted the sword by the hilt it would litterally snap

and even if it was made strong enough its weight would make it impossiblefor the average man to lift even with both hands

it sucks but thats kinda the beauty of Sephiroth's blade

it can litterally never exsist :(

If it was fine-crafted to being a fully functional sword, you can bet something as big as 9ft, ESPECIALLY being that kind of collector's item in an event like that, it would have costed well over 600. Problem is, Masamune is ridiculously over-hyped, and for people who actually do realize what Kenjutsu implies, it's a bad joke. I mean, just the thought of a nerd performing a Iai with that makes me chuckle.

If your thinking of trying to locate the Honjo Masamune , start with Sgt. Coldy Bimore .

7th cavalry stationed in japan in 1946 . hes the last person known to have handled it , along with 14 other blades from tokogawa showgunate .

and a detailed studdy of the sword still exists from the 30,s in a sword smith identification book . so we know all the identifyable aspects of the sword .
