  • typhoon is the loudest jet

  • With the slo-mo we see, or rather we hear it's going faster than the speed of sound it's producing?

  • Low and fast, that's how we like our jets!

  • Jaguar = loudest jets ever

  • @DippyEggFudgePacker Actually the Euofighter Typhoon is the loudest jet

  • @SeptemberFury ... The Eurofighter is not the loudest jet there are lots of others such as the Vulcan, Victor, AN225 and many others. Ps. the eurofighter is overated it is Not stealthy at all, it is Ugly and has to have computers just to keep it in the air whilst others do not. Harriers & Jaguars FTW

  • @TheBoringAntelope Yes, it does have stealth aspects, it is one of the most capable strike fighters and air superiority fighters. It has MORE computers to keep it in the air. Come on Harriers and Jaguars? The harrier especially a superb aircraft and very innovative but it is 2 generations behind.

  • how fast is it going??

  • this isnt raf coltishal its teeside airport or now as its known durham tees valley

  • @maxandholly1 Thats funny. It looks just like Coltishall.

  • it's not battel feild thats me

  • That is not especially low for the best of the RAF. I remember hearing of Jaguars being flown so low they flew UNDER telephone wires, the wires being 28 feet above the ground, and the Jaguar being 16 feet in height. THAT is a low pass.

OK, you can take off some height because the landing gear would not have been down at 600 knots.

Of course officially they were flying at 200 feet. Yeah right.

  • @MartinJWillett Have to also remember the Jag had no terain folowing radar, so the pilot was flying it at whatever hight not a computer unlike the tonka, harrier and typhoon for that mater.

  • What a hotdog!

  • a bit of sound editing sir?

  • jags are still in service cos im servicing them and will be till 2015

  • @qwertyuiop1243yhweth well thats funny... as they went out of commision in 2006 when RAF coltishall closed

  • @qwertyuiop1243yhweth I am glad to hear it. I love those planes.

  • oh my god!!

  • Is the Jaguars still in service?

  • @collectorfun, The Jaguars are no longer in service.

  • wow that plane must distort sound so it like throws the sound out ahead of it

  • @aell0111 there was two of them. This video has been edited so I guess he didn't want to show them both

  • Woah! How did you manage to get that down on video? Did you preempt the passing of the Jaguar or was it a common routine for the Jaguar to fly so low?

  • that went so fast

  • haha cool vid, jets r insane. lol shit goes so fukn fast. yet we as people cant get along and stil fight over stupid shit. so lame...

  • thats a strange engine u hear it before it comes 2 u then it makes the same exact sound again like 100000000000 times slower than the speed of sound... hehe

  • thts because this is a different vid to the original.

  • i think the two seater version of this plane is much prettier than the single

  • Is that in Wiltshire

  • no norfolk and i did 10 years on them

  • im afraid not funceeka alot of them now are stuck out in the open rusting away at cosford.

  • correction there are still jag's in service albeit not with the RAF but Indian air force. and the Oman Air force, all over operators of the aircraft have taken them out of service

there are also two jags at Boscombe which were transferred to QinteiQ, these are both airworthy although that could of changed since.

  • Are these still in service anywhere ?

  • Fantastic. Still remember walking on a hill in Dartmoor and a Harrier popping up from nowhere and flying right over my head.

  • Does anybody know why the engine sound happened before the aircraft passed the camera?

  • because the sound travels faster than the aircraf does

  • the aircraft travels faster than the sound

  • It depends on the pressure altitude that the aircraft is flying at.

  • Mistake, it depends upon the density altitude that the aircraft is flying at. The aircraft in this video has not passed before that loaud noise. I could be a build up of pressure in front of the aircraft, a bit like the doppler effect with sound waves.

  • Good explanation, however, in the case of this video, I think it was an audio editing mistake. You would never, ever hear a roar of that intensity before the aircraft has passed.

  • thats not a good explanation it's crap it is common sence that you cannot hear a sound from something that hasn't happened yet i.e. the jet passing the camera the doppler effect is dictated by your position relavent to the position of the object creating the sound it is only inhanced by the speed of the object not changed entirely as it would have to have been for his explanation to be correct besides light travels faster than sound if it hasn't happened yet you havn't heard it

  • UR RIGHT IT WAS MY EDITING!

  • @kieranprotsmith no the noise was the second jet that he cut out

  • @nofragsboy It's another jet off camera you doi

  • @nofragsboy orr it could of just broke the sound barrier.. .

  • Because the off camera passed first????

  • Nice Sepcat Jaguar. The sound of one approaching aircraft doesn't happen twice ! Doppler effect happens once per vehicle. Supersonic or subsonic = one continuous sound. There is an unseen Jaguar (Title of video is plural "Jaguars") passing behind camera or the audio is just wrong.

  • I thought it would be the audio/video sync would be incorrect, but im more of a computer person than an aircraft person haha

  • The noise scared the nuts out of me!

  • Nice one.. :)

  • the jags at cosford on the airfeild side were retired in the 80s, the rest are on the main side as war reserve

  • There goes the book man!

  • NICE!!! JAGS I Think There At Cosford Now Anyway That was A Kick Ass Video

  • Anymore Jags flying? I had heard 70% of them were retired in 1997........thats 12 years ago.....they were on their last legs at the time.

  • all the jags are now at DCAE Cosford, theres no more flying now which is a big shame. i loved em :)

  • so when ddi you work on them? we never lost any in combat, i still have the priviledge of working on them

  • He is higher than he looks.

  • is that Amir who has a son named Jaguar and has a partner named lil drake

  • I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO

    this video was good HD

  • I bet those cows are like..WTF MAN!..lol

  • durham tees valley airport!! woop! i live in stockton and get this all the time. love it so much

  • Yeh 16 squadron by the looks of that

  • Jaguars are rubbish. I am American, we would call them "Cougars" because we are Great and the best. God Bless The U.S.A. I am from Moosejaw.

  • Hahaha...

  • nah mate england are the best rained army in the world! you cant beat the english with our army now. R.A.F. are the best air force in the world

  • I'm English you tool!!! It was a windup!! I just pretended I was a Yank to prove to a friend that some of the comments I'd of got would prove a large number of us are just as thick as they are. And I hate to say it - there were some proper retards out there!

  • damn - you area f*cking mong arent you

  • Reminds me when i went on trips to Devon as a kid. One time on the moors a Jaguar pilot came down low over us and banked his wings in salut, it was well cool.

  • Defo a Jaguar. It ain't BIG enough to be a Tornado for a start off!

  • The distinction between the Jaguar and the Tornado is difficult, especially at high speed and a shaky cameraman!.However, having said that,if you pause the picture at the best appropriate moment, you will indeed see that the aircraft is a Jaguar.I mean,I should know. Our Indian Air force uses them, including ex RAF GR Mk1's.

  • Its 100% a Jag! :) Look at the rear for a start! Thats a massive give away and sounds nothing like a Tonka!

  • Its a Jaguar

  • It`s not a Jaguar. That is the Tornado. You can stop the Picture and you can it see on the End of the wing.

  • That looks like Teesside or Durham Tees Valley as is now known. The aircraft for Sunderland air show depart/arrive here.

  • I rebember when i was a little aircadet flying from RAF Coltishall, took off in a chipmunk with a Jag right next to us on the runway doing a tandem take off, all i remember seeing was plumes of exhaust fumes and the ass end of his reheaters hehe was amazing and very loud, will never forget that day, was amazing . thanks for posting this video =]

  • thats below the fukin hard deck maverick your ass is on the line boy mark my words you'll be flying a plane full of rubber dog shit out of Hong kong mother fuck

  • Keen.

My family used to camp in the Rangeley Lakes region of Maine back in the late 70s, and it was not an uncommon sight to see National Guard F-100s, along with the occasional FB-111, skimming the water at about that height.

  • That is very, very cool.

  • Take it easy, chaps. No need for cowardly and anonymous comments on YouTube!

  • Well HE started it...(offended pout like a stroppy teenager)!

  • i wasnt looking at the screen when i first put this on and i SHIT myself when i heard them fly by lol

  • freak

  • thank you my yank comrade

  • fuck off

  • Whats your problem? Why reply to my comment in the first place, and dont bother replying.

  • cause it was gay faggot

  • well you dont understand my dialect PONCE, so shut it

  • What we seem to have here is a young(ish) person from the colonies who struggles to put forward a fully structured sentence, let alone a coherent argument. I think it would probably be best if we more worldly-wise Brits were to urge young Reds1500 to perhaps return to his book-larnin' for a while before he attempts to join in any future adult debate, don't you?

  • i totally agree, he started an argument for no reason, thanks for your support:)

  • the colonies.. thats a good one. too bad you guys couldnt hold on to em huh?

  • Nah...our colonies were too much hassle -- we gave 'em back to the natives.

  • Ah, the word 'irony' does a flypast over yet another Americans head...

  • The best jetfighters are American. This is fact not opinion. U.S. military weaponry is second to none. Accept it.

  • Ah dear oh dear...

  • So that's why the eurofighter typhoon proved in war-games that a single one of them can shoot down 2 F-16's on 50% of occaisions...

  • U had technology ("sorry sir i regret to inform you that our nation's debt is now at - $6,000,000,000", yes 6 billion). Anyhow, tecnology or not, your incredable, yes incredable F-22 Raptor (i was at air venture 2008 to see it, its awesome) can go stealth and deploy ordanance undetected, WTF, a sopwith can kick its ass probably. f22 is way to fast. The sopwith will blow it to dust with a little browning! Now please take a look at the SU-37, your words "lets keep playing runescape!".

  • Unfortunatly, our nation's debt is in the trillions of dollars, not billions. We'll be holding our breath for a long time. Just ignore that guy. That pointless argument, of "we're better, nope, we're better" is a waste of time. It sad to see the Jaguar go.

  • the f-22 isnt a really good attacker. leave that to the f-35.

  • f-35 is awesome

  • The f35 is a waste of money and is completelyinnefective in combat

  • How would u know?

  • haha probably battlefield 2 or some shit (: lol

  • nah not even that he probably saw it in die hard 4.0 and thought oh it can't kill bruce willis and deemed it useless

  • fuck you and dont reply unless your a fuckin stupid ass cock sucker

  • Whoops...there goes teddy flung out of the pram again!

  • Whoops...there goes teddy flung out of the pram again!

  • LOW? see this video and you will know what the low is==>>very low fly past

  • what vid boy

  • see this vidoe===> very low fly past, search and you will find it in the top.

  • That thing is Crazy Fast

  • Nice fly by captain

  • hi i live in st jamise the street in colitshall and have them flight past some time and shits me up

  • Low?

You've obviously never spent any time at Thumrait. I've seen even a Victor tanker fly lower than that.

    Decidedly unimpressed.

  • that would scare the shit out of anyone...even if they expected it....I had it half volume and went into the hallway it made that noise and I said" the hell?". I decided to show my sister and told her to turn the volume up to half....it scared the shit out of her too.

  • LOL^^^. Your lucky you had it half volume. Gosh I freakin had it on full blast like usual. It scared the living shit out of me. I totally didn't expect that.

  • high speed passes are the best it really shakes your organs if u are there watchin it but the F-22 only needs the afterburner to shake your organs

  • wow im used to hearing jets i dont get scared by them i lived near a air force base for 3 years ive seen f-18s, and saudi aribian jet and a cargo plane and the an-124 4 times soo i dont get scred very esily by these unless if ur waiting in lin e at a airshow and one passes over ur head then i got scared at that cause i wasnt paying attenion rofl

  • Hell Yeah.

Stick it to the fucking americans

  • what about that F-22 all it could shoot one of those things out of the sky so easy and it is louder than those

  • the jaguars were awsome, the USAF were told not to fly with the RAF as the pilots were "crazy" lol my dad was in the 1991 Gulf and said he seen a jaguar fly at 7-8 Ft off the ground! but hes heard the lowest was 5.5 Ft! lol. its a shame there not operational anymore :(

  • that is sick, ive had a couple of f-16's fly over me about as low...fucking loud

  • cool i live near warton in the north west we get just the same thing!!

  • For the amount the Jaguar cost the RAF, how few were lost in operation and the work that they did for the "Alliance" I think we owe a great deal to them.

  • where is that it looks like Tunstead please tell us...

  • Looks like Colt, filmed next to the Bure Valley Railway line.

  • What airfield is that? It's not actually Coltishall is it?

  • Man I love those british pilots, they really know how to fly down in the brush.

  • insane

  • Jaguar GR3A,what a rush!!

  • That video is LUSH
