I've noticed something interesting. If you decide to execute Loghain, he actually seems truly at peace and humbled. If you decide to spare his lfe, he acts really miserable, but I can't figure out why.

@Ddangerdan Bringing him along when you face the Archdemon, if I recall, discusses this when you must choose who should give their life (assuming you didn't accept Morrigan's offer).

I find that having him sacrifice himself to slay the Archdemon is one of the game's best endings since it redeems Loghain's earlier actions in a more dignified way than, say, executing him.

@georock123 It's possible to have Alistair and Anora rule jointly while sparing Loghain, but only if you harden Alistair's personality through his personal quest. (Telling him to look out for himself more)

It is not possible to spare Loghain and have Alistair rule alone.

@gantzuka No, but it's slightly more difficult to resolve the Landsmeet if you spare him.

You do lose Alistair as a party member, but Loghain's better than him anyway.

@YoshiFan007 IMO that depends. I was playing a human warrior weapon and shield talent, and unfortunately when I spared Loghain, I found out he couldn't wear as heavy armor as I or Alistair could, so I reloaded the file. I've learned that if you're already the "Tank" factor in the party, sparing Loghain doesn't really give any real benefit.

Before the Landsmeet, when you're at Arl Eamon's estate in Denerim and after you've rescued Anora, I think there should be an option when talking to her to suggest that you marry her.

If not, there's a really obvious Persuade check when you're picking between the two at the Landsmeet. You can see the female version of the choice (#2) at 3:58 but it only works if you're a Human Noble.

From the research I've done, there is a specific dialogue option after you rescue her that will trigger it. I have not actually done it myself so I'm not entirely sure how it's approached, but I do know that it will only work if the Warden does not kill Loghain.

If anyone else kills Loghain, though, it will work.

The persuade check to marry her does appear no matter what you say, but I do not know if it will work if you didn't talk to her about it.

Yes to the first and yes to the second. As long as your own character him/herself does not kill Loghain she will agree to marry you.

Keep in mind that you can choose to duel Loghain and still tell Alistair to execute him.

Arl Howe's Shield is obtained in Arl Howe's estate. I believe it's in a treasury room or such.

Funny, I never really put it on (and of course never saw the hrealdry), because I prefer Duncan's Shield, the Warden's Tower Shield or the Fade Wall.

lol i did the high dragon directly after i done the sacred urn like 1 hour after that i decided i needed some action so i took him down not to big a deal tough it says its the strongest foe we ever faced even after the landsmeet
