He sure goes through his rig quite thoroughly. Explaining every detail and showing all the stuff he got. Wich is a good thing, it never gets boring. And Its nice to finally know, how that effect is created, at the beginning of "Blue collar tweekers". Thanks PG.
He's a pretty nice guy, no rock star trip. But he has to cover a tremendous amount of tonal ground. He mentions the need for a switching system. I don't know how he manages all that now.
Val Air is such an amazing place to see bands. Des Moines, I give it up to you because I traveled 12 hours to see Primus there and you people are some of the nicest I have ever met.
I much prefer Shawn's style of interview. I relly dont go for all the "spacey" tones you can get from dialing a pedal all the way in one direction. Just use a synth. But , that said I like this rig. simple and bullet proof.
Here's a correction for viewers: The stock speakers in the EVH cabs are actually 20 watt speakers - the Celestion G12EVH. Celestion doesn't manufacture them for any other cabs other than the EVH cabs, however they do sell the speakers so you can purchase them and put them in a cab if you wanted.
@EpiclyConnor Also, I've watched a few live videos from the latest tour, and Ler definitely needs to be turned up. Claypool's tone swallows him whole.
@WalrusDoom I know, he needs to be heard, especially with a 1 guitar band, I mean, Claypool is an amazing bassist but equally Ler is a brilliant guitarist. I guess they need to find a happy middle ground.
@EpiclyConnor Well, the thing is Les is the lead instrument in Primus really, even in the PG interview Ler was talking about this, he plays more of a backup guitar in Primus.
@onetwomeansnothing As long as it's a PRS, because that's what he's most known for playing.
Don't know why he moved from using PRS to using Fenders.

I'm curious as to why Ler switched to playing only Fenders, when he used to play Strats and his main guitars were Paul Reed Smiths.

@WalrusDoom Endorsement contract could have ended, and Fender may have given a better offer. I'm just speculating here.
