What they do is that a big, fast talking white guy comes, makes you to sign contract - and then they hire latino workers to do the work for $8.00 an hour. When we were building our own the estimates went bet. $45 to $60K. We did it ourselves for $18,000. Since then, we built another two pools for our friends. Each time in more elaborate design. Building pool is easy. I would never use Pool Co..

Not on a cliff. But it still doesn't change anything I said above. If the pool is on a cliff, than you will have to deal with structural prep work before you start with pool. That may be several times more expensive than pool itself. Once all supports are set and retaining walls built - than you start with building the pool.

Yes. So far so good. We had a small "glitch" during the dig of the pool but corporate came around quickly and made good and we have been fine ever since. Good luck with your pool and enjoy. Make sure you brush the walls the first two weeks as they will instruct!

WOW! I'm shocked! They've all "Been clean" at my house, I worked for a new homes builder in the field and so does my husband, so I don't take crap, I know the construction process and if I see something wrong or half ass I'm right out there - three kids in tote! I've been here for everything, and I watched them all like hawks! So, hopefully we lucked out and got a great crew! I've been very pleased so far - but that's for the heads up, I certainly appreciate it!

Gunite pools are pricey and require more maintenance than a drop in liner. The pool does look go though.

Did the crew run out of gunite (concrete) at the end, because I can still see the rebar in the bottom of the pool. Leave it that way and there will be lines of rust bleeding through the plaster.

No..they did not run out. The rebar is totally covered up. What you see is the screen from my window where it was shot from. If you look at the very beginning and the very end of the video I was not shooting it through the window screen.
