  • This is a great song! Religions just sucks. But the song is great, I just love it.

  • @supsupese Seems a reasonable reaction...

  • You do not feel sham ,that you break Jesus heart to Green and Orange?.

I am - by the world called - Christian Orthodox . I fell sham about wt happen between my Catholic & Protestant brothers .

  • wooooow to .......

  • My uncle tony wrote tis. never bothered searching for it untill tonight. He ´s an evertonian and im a liverpuddlian :)

    nice rendition.

  • You should be very proud of him. It's a great song.

  • Class!!!! and a Joe Hill fan too badassss.

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • Very funny - I like The Grehan Sisters' version - we used to put it on the pub Jukebox after Oasis - quite a contrast!

  • Another good old standard I find you play. What DON'T you sing?

  • I remember this was quite a hit when I was a teenager.

There are a lot of songs I don't sing - some I don't think I would do well enough, some I don't think are worth singing, and a lot more I still haven't heard yet!

  • Good singing! I like it.

  • Thank you.

  • I'm not Irish, not catholic, not (actively)protestant. I'm a folk music fan. Good job buddy!!!Thank you for sharing.

  • You're welcome. We are all basically the same whatever our religious beliefs, and folk music hopefully can help us understand that.

  • Will you sing the sash m8 plz it would sound beautiful you singing it.

  • very nice!!!

  • Thank you.

  • Fun! :)

  • Dude I love you ( in a straight way ) ! PLease play this song with The WOlfetones lyrics :)

  • Good tune. I remember my father playing this song when I was a young boy. Brings back fond memories.

  • I remember hearing it on the radio as a young boy. It was quite popular for a while.

  • The wolf tones are better

  • So they should be! They are professionals, whereas I just sing for fun. I don't see the point of such comparisons. Everyone can enjoy folk music. It's not some kind of competition.

  • i never said it was

  • I never said you did. :-)

  • i've never heard this before. very amusing. thanks for posting this. i'll make sure to share it. slan go fol

  • Very good, well done!

  • AWESOME! love this song SO much!

  • do me a favour, try cold missouri waters again

    pick the tempo up?

  • You sound just like the version the Irish Rovers did, another great video here!!!

  • Thanks again for your comments.

  • Thanks so much. I've been trying to find this song forever. I was raised Irish Protestant, but married a catholic. My family tries to tell me why i'm such a sinner while his family tells me about saint peter and mother maary rejoicing in heaven, LOL, so it's nostalgic for me, and I can relate as well

  • This is great - thanks for helping me reminisce about my history..

  • You're welcome. Thanks for commenting.

  • Nice choice

  • Thank you.

  • Every time I search for my best songs, it's always you that comes up! Thank you.

Could only be improved by singing with Irish accent.

  • I think if I tried an Irish accent it would just sound fake. With over four hundred songs now I'm bound to pop up all over the place. Some people must be getting sick of seeing my face here!

    Thanks for your comment.

  • hi ray you rockkkkkkkkkkkkkk your fab

  • Good stuff Raymond, I remember hearing the Irish Rovers sing this song : )

  • Say

    Raymond...

It has been literally decades since last I heard this song,so I thank you so much for performing it. Isn't it sad how things haven't changed much since this song had been first written and performed?

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • I like to think some progress is being made. After all the possibility of a black president of the USA would have been unthinkable a generation ago.
