In this version, Alice is about to be proposed to in fornt of a large crowd, and she really doesn't want to. She runs away and falls down the rabbit hole - the same one she fell down 10 years earlier but can't remember. So yeah, this one is like 10 years after the original. I think. I got that from Wikipedia so don't blame me if its wrong! :P

I've read the plot and how it is based on the second of Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland (Through the Loooking Glass), but it is NOTHING like through the loooking glass! Alice is getting married?! she forgot about her previous visit to Wonderland?! whats wrong with the world?!?! OK yes i am excited about the movie and cannot WAIT to see it, but that's the only minor thing that bummed me out a little bit. :(

Are you sure that's what happens? As far as I know, Burton usually follows books (etc) to the letter. I.e; in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, all the oompa loompa lyrics were from the book.
