This completely fits King Piccolo's personality.  King Piccolo was a LOT different from his son. King Piccolo was far more manic and borderline insane. He was a loner as well, but he wasn't quiet and thoughtful. He was pure evil and reveled in it like a hyper child when he wanted to.
