  • Top ten all time. Sing it possum!

  • A TRUE COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND - GIVE HIM A THUMBS UP.

  • George Jones is the best

He lived every minute of every song

    Only johnny cash comes close

I love Johnny ,no question, but I sincerely feel that

George Jones surpasses him in the Pain Index

  • Right before my grandpa died of cancer, he made a cassette tape and hid it for my grandma to find after he died. The tape was of him talking about his life and telling stories about each of his kids. Then at the end of the tape he talked about my grandma and how he will allways love her, then he played this song...

  • Man, I love Mr. Jones, what can I say? Thanks for posting this. Five stars!

  • Hank Jr. #1? are you serious? I like jr. too, but he's not even close to george jones!!!!!! george will ALWAYS be the greatest ever!!!!!

  • WOW.....What a legend.....What a Voice....George Jones is and always will be country music. His voice and music is timeless!!!!

  • like the song says same old me.... cheers from roy the uk wot a man great

  • wow wisdom.

  • Look gang, here's the thing about Ol' Possum Eyes -- he IS country music. Us old schoolers still remember how he used to like to do that nose candy, and carouse like we only wish we could. But he got himself clean, finally, he was still running his car off the Briley Parkway into the 1990's, but at long last manned up, not that he wasn't a man to begin with. For you young whippersnappers, read "I Lived to Tell it All". Thus ends the lesson. George Jones is the greatest.

  • Old Possum is great but not the greatest. He is third in line in the pecking order. 1) Hank Williams Jr. 2) Conway Twitty 3) George Jones. But he is my mama's favorite though. We debate over the greatest sometimes and it gets comical. All in fun though. You know the absolute greatest is Jesus Christ!! Enjoy the music friend.

  • yeah i love george jones man he is the shit love thiz song

  • I listen to Georges songs over and over and never get tired of hearing him sing. I've seen 3 of his concerts and love his voice. I've been listening to his records since 1958. Too bad he can't sing for another 50 years!!

  • @wa2qle Truly a legend and just a pure country voice!! There'll never be another like him!

  • @wa2qle why not

  • my god!!!! i listen to this over and over and it just sounds better and better!!! thanks again for posting!

  • I am only 29 years old, but with this kind of music; i should have been born in its era cause i absolutely love it. Old country is what my grandparents rased me on. Not to mention Hee Haw!!!

  • doesnt tanya tucker sing this

  • she covered it

  • That's the Oak Ridge Boys in the background. Great combo -- George and the Oaks.

  • seancoxen: Oaks and George were two of the biggest things going when this song came out. Remember Elvira? That was good times and many a moon ago.

  • dis my grandpa nd grandmaz song
