  • Many thanks pocketpoolboy!¡!¡!

  • I should start gig-logging... but I don't know if everyone would want to hear the exact same playlist as yours Brian.... I'm laughing my ass off right now cuz every song in this log was played at the wedding I did saturday... and the bar last wednesday.

  • song at 4:59 is DJ Casper - Cha Cha Slide pt. 2

  • Hey Brian,

What version of mixmeister do you use?

  • Hi Brian

please tle me what is the name of songs of the minute 4:59

    thanks

  • Hi Brian!!

please tell me what is the songs in the minute 4:59

thanks from México City ; )

  • Brian, I'm so glad to hear your comments about working the tables, after the discussion we had at Vegas Airport in Feb. It's worked for me for so long now, and with the following you have, it's great that you can get the word out there about a simple, effective use of a DJ's time at a wedding.

So many people comment when I walk around "nobody ever asked us about the music WE want to hear at a wedding".

Hopefully this video will persuade wedding DJs that it's a great piece of customer service.

  • I'm glad it's working for you. Perhaps I should do a quick dedicated video on that.

  • Hey Brian is there dealer in the US that carrys the scim products looking to get something for my speaker and lighting stands to cover up the legs.

  • I'm pretty sure Northern Lights FX (nlfx) has them in MN.

  • What was the song you mixed out from the Casper slide? That was a great mix... I want to try that one. Song starts at 2:40

  • It was the last few seconds of Electric Boogie - Marcia Griffiths, also called Electric Slide.

  • That's it... thanks dude!

  • awguy - there was no mixing... it was just cut from one scene to the next scene on the video...

  • Well you have a nice crowd then for 21 & over, they still get into the cha cha slide, that track could get me shot in some places, lol.

  • Yeah me too. It just depends on the crowd. I don't usually play it unless someone askes for it

  • awesome video, cant wait for my first wedding event.

    ~~DJ BLUE~~

  • Great job as always!!!

  • Great job as always!

  • Nice video again, the wedding lighting looked subtle but appropriate, nice job.

I'm guessing Evolve is an all ages party, that's great.

What was the tune playing at aprox. 4:50.

    Thanks!

  • Nope, 21 and over

  • I like the Electric Casper Slide mix... Nice one. Could you show us a video of the revo 4 without the lens? Wonder if it would look like a standard par can wash...

  • those covers would be good in white, for led backlighting. great video brian.

  • Great gigs brian! Im digging the revo 4 it looks sweet

  • Where can you buy the scrim king on line? I was trying to find a dealer...

  • I think NLFX has them. (Northern Lights FX)

  • I'm keeping score how many people tell you to clean your lens-lol

  • whats the name of the song at 3:06??

  • Cupid Shuffle

  • The Video shows a great crowd of "Dancing people" If all the gigs could be that way. Keep the videos coming....

  • i sent you a msg brian.. still waiting for your response. :(

  • I'm a busy guy. Did you ask several detailed questions in one email? It may take me a while to get to you. I've got several hundred of emails just like yours waiting for answers which is why I always like to direct people to the FORUM VIDEOS

  • There, sent you a response which was basically to let you know ALL the info you seek has already been covered in older videos I've done.

Have a look at the tutorials. I have loads of them on setting up PA systems. I COULD spend 1/2 hour of my time looking up all the specs of the things on your wish list OR I could teach YOU how to do this and put it together yourself.. which is what I've tried to do with many of the 600 + videos I've posted :)

  • Great gig Brian! Wow cool to see you got the Scrim king skirts! I've got 4 white ones and love them backlit! Next I need to get black ones too.

  • Hi DJ Stef,

Im happy to hear that you're enjoying our scrim products.

    Thanks for the postings.

  • No problem! I love the look they give.

  • Hey Brian, love your videos. I just realized something while watching it though. Wouldn't it be considered dangerous to point a laser into the crowd like you do...? As much as it looks cool, even the lowest powered laser could cause damage to the eyes (i.e. laser pointers).

    Keep up the awesome videos!

  • There shouldn't be any problems with low powered lasers producing beams of 4.9 MW or less. The Galaxian lasers produce a LOT less than 4.9 MW per beam.

As a general rule? No, you should never point lasers at anyone... so yeah I do break the rules a bit. But, seeing how these are class 3A lasers, I'm not even a little worried

  • thanks vinnevegas2000

  • hey brian, the revo 4 is ok i have used one as a demo and also own a revo 3, i personally prefer the revo 3

  • I have to agree with that... I think that the Revo 3 is more of a centerpiece whereas the Revo 4 is more of an effect (something you could use a few of) Either way it's very cool.

  • whats that song called at 3:24 please?

  • I know you want me (Calle Ocho) - Pitbull

  • awesome - thanks man! keep it up

  • great to see more gig logs! good work brian!

  • Hey Brian whats The laser That Your Using

  • The Galaxian from American DJ

  • very nice good gob!!!

  • Great Job Brian!

  • Yo Brother,

Why no wash on the dancefloor? Pop a colorstrip in a t-bar and light that place up a bit.

  • Hey Ron

I've done that with the Mega Bars. They are too bright for a direct dancefloor hit (got a video up on that somewhere). If you were there, you'd see the light bleed-in from the rear uplights.

Next time I do a wedding, I may try the white Scrim King skirts and light them up, which should create a brighter dancefloor wash

  • what songs called at 3.40,,4.00..3.38 any know

  • 3:40 = fireburning on the dancefloor - sean kingston

    4:06 = low - flo rida

  • brian, what songs do you normally play durin dinner "dinner music" please comment me back thaniks!

  • I do a lot of Smooth Jazz that comes in from my Top Hits USA subscription. I'll also do mellow hits and some pop standards like Nina Samone, Norah Jones, Frank Sinatra, etc

  • Hey Brian, Love the speakerstand covers My ultimate speakerstands are about 15 years old. They still hold up but they are showing the ware only so much Sharpie marker can hide the dings. These can help hide the deep scratches thanks! I'm gonna look into getting those covers.

  • love the gig logs !

  • lol you should clean your lens brian ;)

  • I've talked about this in SEVERAL videos... there are pixles out on my camera. That's what you see in the upper left

  • Sorry lol i cant seem to remember it -.-

  • Does the dj chuckie ft LMAO im in miami bitch work in the usa i definately prefer that one

  • Great looking crowd at Evolve Bri. Bri, how do you like the Revo 4. I'm torn between the Revo 3 and Revo 4. Revo 4 does a whole lot more patterns and programs than just the firework thing. Ever tried both of them together yet to see how they look and operate together?

    Thanks

    DJCD

  • They both for sure do different effects. I think it's just a matter of preference. Whatever you like best is what you should get

  • excellent video mate.. The revo4 and the skrim skits looks fantastic.

    Thanks for shareing,

  • Whats the third song at the weding? (:

  • Glorious High Definition! Which camera do you use for your videos?

  • stable value.

    Great Gig :-)

  • Cool revo4 but do you think it is as good as the revo 3 as that looks like's firworks.

  • They both have unique effects. It's a personal preference thing

  • I llike the scrim king stuff but spoke to them and then indicated that there is new product line coming out. More than likely at MBLV where the covers will cover more than 1 side.

  • hey brian what Arriba Cases dos reveo 4 you us

  • Same as the Revo 3. If memory serves, it's the 125?

  • Great looking set-up @ the wedding Bri, very trim, tidy and professional. Loved the tripod covers!

  • great vid brian, I dont normally like the speaker stand skirts/covers but love that simple but clean effect! given me some great ideas for the future ....big up

  • nice show

  • Brian,

what light were you using on the dance floor at the wedding?

    Cheers,

  • The American DJ Galaxian

  • Nice one

  • revo 3 is still my favorite, even though i have yet to buy one haha

  • I didn't see a sub when you showed the set up, any chance it was under the table, and are you still running one or two?

  • @mentalgump he stopped using it for some reason

  • Nah, it's under the table :)

  • Sweet I need a reveo 4 now

    thanks

    MM

  • Noticed an Ableton sticker on your gear somewhere in the video... you rockin' Live 8 now?

  • It was a mouse pad i think. I got one for free with some kit i got. IDK maybe he's fooled around with it

  • nice job man u rockecd it

  • I have a feeling the cha cha slide will plague dance floors for the next few millenia

  • It's never (and I mean NEVER) been played in OZ. Not sure it was ever released here, but I've never heard of it until youtube. The world's a funny diverse place, isn't it. BTW, I wish it had been released here - it sure as hell ALWAYS fills the floor in every gig log I've seen, lol.

  • You should give it a try! Worst case, you could always learn the dance and teach it. I've got Damo over at Midnight Sounds in Melbourne doing all sorts of silly American stuff at his show and it works!

  • Yeah it isn't going anywhere

  • very nice!
