Rune keeper is an easy class for the main point of it....kiting, the large amount of skills and attunement make up for that challenge. If you want to go with a truly difficult class try out the Lore Master or the Burglar.

@kokainkalle Most of the classes are very fun imo. For begginers I would recommend the Hunter (my personal favorite class). They do tons of damage and are pretty simple to use

@iDarkBow hmm.. well theres 3 good dps classes the hunter which is a ranged dps and by far dishes out the most dps ... then theres the champion which is lke the arogorn .. uses heavy armor and has good dps . as for casters theres the loremaster which is like gandalf the minstrel which is the healing class but has major dps if traited for it mainly because of the massive crits . and the dps/caster is the runekeeper which can either heal or dps depending on what attunement you go with
@kokainkalle i have a defender and a buglar, one its good receaving and making damage its a solo class or a helper because it call enemies. and musician its only for fun, but in a good lv its dangerous too :) but i have musician to have fun only no to fight i am John and Geruman in Silverlode Server if you want
Hmm lotro is good I'm not so sure how it becoming free has to do with it being bad (I can understand it being flooded with moons but all the better for making money) anyway it's a good game and it ain't additive like WoW and runescape is full of 12 year olds now

@EarendurTelemnar Guild Wars 2 is based on a similar mechanism as rifts in Rift. But there are tons of events going on, world is dynamically changing, in many, many ways. I think You should really go check Guild Wars 2 out, especially due to the fact theres no subscription fee. You just have to buy cd key once, but it isnt that much, especially for some1 who can afford paying sub fees.

I seriously started playing RS when I was 9. I give it credit, though, it laid the groundwork for my online gaming addictions. Then I grew up and now I'm on LoTRO. =P

people dont give runescape enough credit.. the graphics arent the best but they have improved A LOT lately & as far as it being free its got quite a kick ass amount f stuff to do to keep you busy and have fun.. I quit it only because I played it for 8 years and I got bored but it was a great game.. I tried WOW and tons of other games but runescape was the best game I ever played.. @AMpufnstuf nope. When i go to the lonelands, its says that i have to purchase the area pack from the store to access the quests. It comes up on my screen. I couldnt do anything except purchase or sell stuff.

people dont give runescape enough credit.. the graphics arent the best but they have improved A LOT lately & as far as it being free its got quite a kick ass amount f stuff to do to keep you busy and have fun.. I quit it only because I played it for 8 years and I got bored but it was a great game.. I tried WOW and tons of other games but runescape was the best game I ever played.. The ability to do or be whatever you want is a great feeling in a game. Thats why I believe it contintues to grow.

@1ceECo1d Now, runescape, when it comes to graphics, it doesnt compare to any other MMO, Ex. WoW, Lotro, BUT! And a very big BUT! Runscape had some of the best gameplay ive seen in a MMO, most mmos are very limited, Ex. Certain classes can only do certain things. And quest are just kill this and kill that, get this get that. Basically a medieval shoot 'em up! But runescape can be for people who want to just kill things, and for people who want there own house, or make a armor, or rune store

But you can't realy compare them because they're not made with an equally software...
it's like comparing a lavalamp with the sun, sure they both have lava, but the size and energy is TOTALLY different...
And i don't play RS, i played it when i was 11, don't go assuming things you don't know...

a huge player base yes, but how many of those are bots? i'd say 1/3 of it is, then how many are social? 1/3 approx. that means 2/3 of the players don't count, sincetheyre either bots or wont interact with you.
so yea, it sucks did you have any other points?

I think i explained WHY the graphics isnt good, not even close to good, I mean, SURE it is what? 10 years old? but they still have updated the graphics and done what? yeah well, they've made it worse, in forms of extremely bad models lack of textures and worthless animations. The models dont even have proper smoothing groups sometimes! And saying it is made in java is hardly an excsuse for worthless graphics

@Flip07141 That doesn't make any sense. If you're still subscribed then you don't have to purchase anything, let alone quests. I pay 9.99 a month for lotro and get all content for that. pennies a day.

@AMpufnstuf nope. When i go to the lonelands, its says that i have to purchase the area pack from the store to access the quests. It comes up on my screen. I couldnt do anything except purchase or sell stuff.
