I dont care what the line up consists of, this group of musicians are simply awsome as 10cc. Saw them at the Silverstone Classic and they should have easiliy been the headline band. Stunning.
Saw these guys on tour the other day, they were absolutely awsomely good. Great songs, great players, great singing, as good as anybody out there. TBH do I care it's not the same line up as the 70s - no not really, I'm just glad there is such an exceptional group of musicians playing GG and 10cc music for me to go and see.
I met GG once - nice guy, fine musician, great writer, but I'm afraid this sucks. This bunch can't, with any honour, tour as 10cc on the strength of having one founder member. It's just as desperate as the 60s nostalgia tour circuit - next stop? Graham won't remember me, but I remember him and the rest of 10cc at their peak and that's how I want to remember them, not this cabaret lite version. I'd travel a long way to see GG perform under his own name, but I wouldn't get out of bed for this.
Ah, 1976 - great year, saw 10cc with the Rolling Stones at Knebworth. It would be nice if you could disagree without being rude but I won't lose any sleep over it - VERY comfy bed...

I will NEVER move on! The original four members made some of the finest pop EVER. The true fans continue to hope for a glimpse of that former grandeur. Why move on? Show the music NOW that's as good as early 10cc and I'll be glad to move ahead. Ain't happenin'.
All 4 guys from 10cc were awesome musicians and singers, of course. But most people have heard the names Godley and Creme more than (Eric) Stewart and Graham Gouldman - I certainly have. I was surprised to learn the chief founder of 10cc was Graham with help from Eric! At any rate, what an amazing band they were. Of course Graham is/was back with 10cc with some substitutions and Lol Creme did a few tunes with Trevor Horn and a couple of others in The producers. Any word from Kevin or Eric?
Jahaantarbiat: I would hardly say that Graham was the chief founder of 10cc; Eric, Lol and Kevin were already recording as Hotlegs - Graham was the last one to join!
Eric has released a new solo album this week called "Viva La Difference"; he plays all instruments bar drums and of course the compositions are all his own. It is an excellent album.
this DVD is great. The sound is excellent. Even without Eric's voice this band is performing very good. The new shows will have more old stuff! Feel the benefit and other Original Soundtrack numbers.
Eric should really be there as well-only then could it be counted as a 10cc reunion per se. It would also be cool if Godley and Creme were to make an appearance.
I just found out about that DVD after looking at this vid.
I agree 100% serjanus. Although gigs are frequently billed as "10cc", Graham Gouldman is the only original member. The other three original members HAVE 'moved on' in life, but Graham persists in using the name. It's a shame that it can't be laid to rest and the band remembered as they were in their heyday.
Maybe some fans ought to move on in life too, instead of hangin' on to what used to be??? Graham has moved on with a new band playing HIS songs, and he's got every right to do so. That's the way bands are. They change line ups. It's no problem for the band, but for some fans it seems their life depends on everything stays the same. Who's the "problem" in that picture?
Oh dear IHIKML, you have shot yourself down in flames.
You see, Graham is touring under the 10cc name and playing 10cc songs (with a sprinkling of his own solo material). He is NOT touring with his own band playing solely his own songs as you claim he clearly hasnt got sufficient courage to tour under his own name performing only his own new material (no doubt ticket sales are increased by using the 10cc name as opposed to his own!) (continues )
The rest of us (fans and other band members) HAVE moved on I only wish Graham would do the same, but he seems insistent on milking the 10cc name for all its worth
By the way, Eric Stewart released a new solo album this week (Viva La Difference); all his own brand new compositions, he plays all instruments bar drums and of course he mixed and produced it. It is an excellent album. Eric has moved on, as have the rest of us - when will Graham do the same?
If the old fans have moved on, why do old fans want the old 10CC back? Why can't Graham use the 10CC name? I don't see the problem. Looks like a great band to me, and if the original line up isn't interested in being in 10CC anymore I see no harm in Graham using the name. It's no big deal. It's just a band.
To IHIKML: The fans dont want the old 10cc back, they know that a reunion will never happen. The crux of the name issue is a strong moral principle and lack of respect for others. When Paul McCartney formed a new band in the 1970s he didnt call it The Beatles and carry on playing Beatles material did he?
Graham should stop clinging onto the apron strings of 10cc and move on, but he refuses to do so, as touring under his own name / another band name would not be as financially lucrative.
great concert was there when they recorded it, that mick wilson what a singer what a musican what a guy, we love him,the rest of the band are pretty good to
I've always been a big U.S. fan of this brilliant group since '72. I'd continually bring their albums to parties when i was a teenager in the 70's, but never got much support from my less than witty friends at the time. This DVD is gonna be a gas! Simply can't wait to get a copy.
While its only one of the "classic" Eric/Graham/Kev/Lol (v.few bands had ALL members doing lead vocals) lineup, a few of the other musos shown here did play as part of 10cc after Kev&Lol left - good to see the material being kept alive in a live environment...
I dont care what the line up consists of, this group of musicians are simply awsome as 10cc. Saw them at the Silverstone Classic and they should have easiliy been the headline band. Stunning.
