I had to replace the motor in my heli. Got another brushless 3500 rpm motor, but it's a 10t pinion vs the stock 13t one from Walkera. It seems to work ok, but no matter what I can't get the tail to stay steady. It will slowly drift left or right, depending on the trim, and it moves really slowly....but its still damn annoying. It just refuses to stay straight even in a hover. You have any advice for me please??
The advice still stands. It sounds like you have it on heading hold mode. Put it on normal mode, and it will stop slowly trying to return to the original heading. It is still a shit gyro. Walkera electrics are terrible.
Very nice man. Nice and stable. My heli doesn't seem to float as nicely as yours. Do you think I need more pitch? Although I do still have training gear on.
Training gear messes up the centre of gravity on these little helis. Could also be your blade tracking - with the engine disconnected, move throttle til main rotors are parralell to the ground. Both should line up, flat to the ground.

I still have drift :(
Could it be the slower head spped caused by the smaller pinion?

gyro is prob turned up too high - go and ask you local hobby store dude. Youtube is no place for online RC services.

lol! true...either that, or you're getting irritated ;)
On another note, I'm emigrating to Australia next year :)

All sorted out...the gyro was plugged into Aux2 not gear. Plugged it into gear and it works beautifully :)
