  • they can do better

  • Can you tell - Ra ra riot

  • Fuck yeah I can discover

  • @LCxCZ and all i got from your comment was "I'm an idiot who can't tolerate an opinion that disagrees with my own without trash-talking them." Hater-haters. Geez.

  • @NoChinchillasAllowed to be fair, you're pretty retarded

  • good memories with this song, prettyy thank you for uploading it

  • I love Ra Ra Riot and Vampire Weekend, but this is absolute and utter crap.

  • @NoChinchillasAllowed All I got from your comment is "I'm an asshole with no taste in music"

  • @NoChinchillasAllowed haha I actually don't like VW and Ra Ra Riot much but find myself deeply in love with this :) Talk 'bout music tastes huh?

  • Simply Wonderfull <3

  • Discovery is like farting clouds and craping angels out ofda butthole

  • That's cute ♥

  • Discovery is a side project of Vampire Weekend and Ra Ra Riot. Musical orgasm musical orgasm musical orgasm~*~*

  • Enchanting and so beautiful. "my bed is too big for jus me."

  • the reason this sounds like can you tell by ra ra riot is because this band is the singer from ra ra riot and the guy from vampire weekend. just thought id clear this up. they have a lot of other good people featuring in songs and helping too

  • @MegaMrDoe You have downs the reason it sounds like Can You Tell by RaRaRiot is because it is Can You tell in autotune derplesworth.

  • @Greatnowwhat32 Obviously... that's why I said it was the singer from RaRaRiot "derplesworth".

  • i wish i could sing this to my lover. maybe she would take me back.

  • can you tell - ra ra riot

  • is this band discovery the same as ra ra riot ?

  • @itsbmadd11 , it's the same singer and the keyboardist from vampire weekend.

  • Wikipedia: Vampire Weekend. Click on Rostam. Click on Discovery

  • This is a pretty good song! but the original has a special place in my heart! :)

  • @wow5heyy

...amondryx just explained that this IS the original.

  • ha "although if you know otherwise, I'd be happy to be corrected." first time i have seen that on youtube. normally comments are arguing over material completely unrelated to the music/video. keep up the friendly and rational behavior

  • i like this better than ra ra riot's

  • @hellbentbliss me too!

  • I woke up and had this going in my head over and over while I was getting ready...

  • This is very reminiscent of reggae. Similar beats, lyrics, and what not. Just electrified. Veryyy nice

  • I hope you all realize this is the original version of "Can You Tell?"...it's not a cover just because you heard one after the other.

  • @amondryx Not to sound rude, but I'm fairly certain it isn't. The first version of "Can You Tell" recorded was on Ra Ra Riot's eponymous EP, which came out in 2007, one year before The Rhumb Line and two before LP came out, so I think it's safe to say that it's a cover of Ra Ra Riot, although if you know otherwise, I'd be happy to be corrected.

  • @suffertheneedle I understand what you mean, but actually this was recorded first, just not released first. This was the song as Wes and Rostam intended in 2005, before it was reworked (and actually released to the public) as Ra Ra Riot "Can You Tell". That explains why the lyrics are the same as the EP version, rather than the one on The Rhumb Line.

Another example is Rostam's original version of "Campus", which was then reworked into a Vampire Weekend song, and many are not aware of it.

  • @amondryx Oh, okay then! Thanks for the info!

  • Gonna be listening to this band all summer

  • ra ra riot cover?

  • @jubilantJOSEFINE this is the singer of ra ra riot's side project

  • @involuntaryTwitch can you upload Carby please... There are no quality versions on youtube :( pretty please..

  • @bbaker221 I uploaded one. Type in Carby Discovery.

  • this version is so much better!!

  • @StellarSanchez Ditto

  • Song reminds me of a good day :)

  • @dylbertiii thanks, pretty hard to find on youtube any songs that I can type in???

  • Why don't indie artist get together and collaborate more offen anybody know indie artist colabs???

  • @hillsong4u

The band Fun. is a pretty good collaboration. Guitar player from Steel Train, pianist from Anathallo, and singer from The Format. Sounds a lot like The Format's "Dog Days."

  • Yall realize that Discovery is Wes Miles from Ra Ra Riot and Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend. So I don't think they have to provide credit if Wes Miles wrote the song.

  • I got the song since the first notes, hahaha I love Ra Ra Riot! , Discovery and Vampire Weekend

  • isn't the a remix of Ra Ra Riot - Can you tell?

  • @grandtheft480 Yeah it is. Actually, this band features the lead singer from Ra Ra Riot and Rotsam from Vampire Weekend. :)

  • As soon as the vocals kicked in I felt embarrassed to be listening. Really, this is just so bad it makes me uncomfortable.

  • @FieldsofRape what u mean by that ?

  • @TheJelly1990

it means, the autotune is gay as fuck and combined with the 'baby baby''s, it all calls to mind a certain justin beiber, we all love to hate.

  • @vans4menu autotune is not gay as fuck . im not saying that i like it but seriously its not gay . some music suits autotune , like this one

  • i want this song played at my prom.

  • My friend played this song on repeat for a few hours, yet it's still awesome

  • Cool version :)

  • sounds a lot like the "baby song" on "adventure time" xd.....good tune then.

  • this reminds me of a song called can you tell...... hehe

  • @chicagocubbies11 smooth move, no credit to ra ra riot...

  • @chicagocubbies11 smooth move discovery, no credit to ra ra riot...

  • @chicagocubbies11 That's because this album was put together by the vocalist from Ra Ra Riot and Vampire Weekend. :)

  • @chicagocubbies11 it's the same lyrics.

  • This versions sound quality is way better than the other one, so thanks :)
