  • leah, you are my idol!

  • Did Leah really design these dresses or was her name just used to sell them?

  • yea she is very beautiful

  • My gf wants to buy one of her wedding dresses.

  • unbelievably beautiful =)

  • thanks for sharing ^^ I didn't know Leah releases a whole line of wedding dresses Oo

  • She looks like a doll!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when i am seeing lea with jin i am getting jelouse i dont know why and they are not mach for each other why do i like jin so much grrr

  • Coz Jin is a lady's man. and as for Leah, shes already married.

  • I would buy her dress for my wedding seriously!

    love you leah~~~!

  • Good 2 see leah try new things. :)

  • fcking s1ut, what a paris wannabe

  • idiot!

  • What a bimbo. 2.5 years and she still can't come up with her own Japanese sentences... and those are some goofy looking dresses. Elegant and adult-like, eh? Like any self-respecting adult would ever wear those colors. She looks like a walking pom-pom.

  • While I agree that the dress thing is retarded, she CAN speak Japanese. She just prefers english. Have you seen her on Japanese tv shows? She's speaking! And definitely without cue cards! And she's learning fast!

  • I'm sure she prefers to speak English, she can't come up with enough Japanese to express what she's thinking. I'm hard on her because I've been living in Japan for 3.5 years and I was leaps and bounds ahead of her at only 2 years. When your career depends on Japanese public appearances, I would think she'd have learned more by now. The Japanese she speaks is nothing to brag about. "Me like hamburger. Me like teriyaki." The only time she makes a full sentence is when she DOES use cue cards.

  • yeah but she is doing photo shoots and memorizing music and shooting videos/tv promotions and probably a lot else. while you probably just have a normal job so you have the time to learn japanese. being hard on people closes you off and just makes you appear negative. and many people enjoy these types of dresses.

  • The time to learn Japanese... um, no. Holding a job does not give me the time to sit down and read grammar books all day. Going to a Japanese college where you were the only English speaker in your graduating class, struggling to understand what the professors were saying, trying to write reports in foreign characters... and now I am the only English speaker at my office. Yeah, I've got it easy. Nobody throws money or cue cards my way for wearing ugly dresses and telling dead baby jokes.

  • obviously, having a job means you're working & not sitting around reading grammar books. i'm simply pointing out that she isn't sitting around at home all day either. also, she's in a career where people are bilingual, & she can communicate w/out speaking japanese all of the time whereas you would've failed your courses in uni etc. i'm not saying for you to change your opinions, but understand that people can overlook her lacking japanese language skills because she does try to speak at least.

  • No no, I'm quite aware of that. If you're cute (and I won't deny that she's cute as a button) anyone can overlook your lack of having actual talent, any ability to communicate without someone holding your hand every day, or your lack of a personality. That would be why I don't like her. That and she gets credit for writing columns, writing lyrics, and designing dresses when she obviously does none of these (at least not without the aforementioned hand holding).

  • Your points are well made, but they don't detract from the fact that she's got, AT LEAST, a modicum of talent. Not everyone can be a pop idol or model. As well, you've described many pop idols throughout the world (cute, takes great photos, sounds decent, doesn't write own songs, doesn't choreograph own dance moves etc). As for the dresses, I'm not an architect, but I can certainly dream up a prairie-style house with 3 br, 3-1/2 bath and open floor layout and it would still be my design, right?

  • Whoa there, she sounds decent? She has great people working for her to fix her pitchiness, etc in the booth. Have you heard her live? Any time she actually sings live it's AWFUL, and she can't dance. At least, not at pop star levels. Here's what I want; I wanted her to just STAY a model. But as it is, she's EVERYWHERE where she doesn't need to be. I get it, she wants more money. But I'm not going to deny the fact that she has only one talent; standing still. ....

  • .... And while she could draw a dress and say she designed it, there is more to designing than just doodling. Does she understand the different folds? The stitching? Fabrics? No? Well, I guess she'll need some help, won't she. Like I said, she can't do anything but stand still without needing help. Britney Spears, for example, can't sing, and that's true. But she could dance very well, she made love to the cameras, and she looked mighty good. And for a while she had a decent personality and ...

  • ... did well in interviews and on shows like SNL. I wasn't her fan, but she was a true pop star and trend setter. Really, it's funny that you and I are arguing over whether she has good points or not. If you like her, that's cool. But I cannot WAIT for the Leah Craze over here to come to an end. She's obviously selling a fake Leah image and because I've seen her American interviews (dead baby jokes? underage drinking? great role model) it bothers me that she is America's one representative here.

  • I think we can agree that everyone on this planet has good points and bad points. It's just human nature. What I was really after was some sort of concession from you that she is talented, regardless of the fact that "she has people to hold her hand." You can train someone and promote their work, but that doesn't ensure stardom. My Fair Lady is a grand idea, but it doesn't really work that way in real life. You can't really take some random from the streets and make them a pop idol. ...

  • if the people who invest has money....

  • ... As for Britney, she probably had counsel on how to dress, how to do interviews etc. Without help, Britney would have been a horrid mess. I mean, just look how she portrayed herself over the past couple of years. She looked horrible when she fired her publicist and stylist. I cannot comment on those interviews you mention because I haven't seen them. I doubt the craze will die down anytime soon just because, as you say, she is Japan's safe foray into the western world.

  • Yes, do these people who say she can speak japanese actually speak japanese? Do they know what level she's at? She speaks very simply, nothing to brag about. A person who doesn't live in japan could learn how to speak like her with a couple beginner japanese lessons.

  • I don't think they do. And what amazes me is how I spent a year at language school for grammar and the basics and then learned everything else from the street, and at 2.5 years I was able to communicate most of my feelings, etc. But at 2.5 years she, who is likely getting her tutoring paid for by her management, still can't say "kitties and puppies". And the mistakes she makes shows she doesn't understand, because they are really just stupid mistakes. Her English isn't that great either, heh.

  • ehhh.. really? how?

She was born in raised in Neveda, US until she was what 19?

what she spoke gibberish while she was here and never spoke english good?

  • I won't respond the way I want to respond to "spoke English good"... in interviews in English she often has to ask for help with words like "garter" and "girth" and her thoughts tend to trail off because speaking isn't one of her strong suits. A lot of times she just ends her thoughts with "Umm... and... and whatever."

See, I wasn't saying English isn't her first language, I was saying she's stupid.
