  • Slightly unrelated.

Good news on the Dp1 getting a customer and moving up the priority list.

That is going to be one exciting beast of a machine.

Can't wait to see it going together.

  • @Dug6666666 yeah, THAT will make for some fun videos! :)

  • Awesome, glad to see some good improvement. Any lap time comparison to some of the top street cars like a Corvette ZR1 or Viper ACR?

  • @TheOfficialKC in its current form the dp4 is about 4-5 sec faster than top production cars with same driver. we'have an aggressive development plan that should take another 10 sec off our times (engine induction, aero, overall tuning).

  • @MPalatov That's pretty amazing. Especially for $22k starting. You made a good comparison to the Lotus Exige 240 in your blog. Makes the car sound like a huge steal.

It would be cool to see a dp4 powered by a Two Stroke Shop 1100cc triple. That engine weighs 55lbs less than the 1000cc ZX-10R engine they replaced and it makes 250rwhp. Too bad it gets bad gas mileage. But it would be cool to see the speed increase.

  • @TheOfficialKC that's why it is available as a kit without engine - customers can install any engine that will fit :) from driving the prototype, if power goes up much beyond 200 then the optional AWD is a good idea. my best estimate is that because of messed up induction we're only seeing 130-140hp at speed. i'm working to fix that right now, we'll see how much top end we pick up with the changes.

  • @TheOfficialKC I found out about that tss engines and went crazy.... in the site they say they can do a 4 cylinders 2200 engine.... now that would a monster... would love to see it in a dp4 awd

  • @Rafael849910 I think that engine would be better suited to the dp1. Since it makes probably 50-100hp more than the engine in the dp1, WAY more power than a dp4 is made for.

  • @TheOfficialKC Wider tires, bigger wing, canards, raceologic traction control, and a set of extra balls will do it lol. Now seriously... you r probably right. Do you have an idea of the price of the hartley h1 vs tss 2200 ? I don't know about the reliability and consumption, but maybe tss is an good option... maybe even lighter

  • @MPalatov I just saw the other day the V8 Ariel Atom is now reaching production. Before it was using some 2.4L V8 but the production car is using the Hartley 3.0L V8. That is awesome. I bet it has something to do with you, haha.

  • @TheOfficialKC yep, it's because i got a v8 atom to work 3 years ago and they couldn't :) took them long enough to copy me, lol :)

  • @MPalatov It is crazy that it took them 3 years to make an Atom with the exact(basically) engine that you put in it. But it costs $193,000. I really doubt it cost you that much to do it. For that price you can get the dp1 that will kill it!

  • Bet you wouldn't do that down change into the first turn on your bike hehe.

  • Another great video. Keep up the awesome work

I always look forward to seeing your constant improvement

  • @sbglobal thanks! :)

  • What was the configuration at the time of this video?

  • @Dug6666666 high wing/flat orientation.
