@wrcrw - both of you are wrong. DJs dont just mix music and we DO make our own music. Bein a good dj means producing, mixing, editing, creating, and perfecting alot of music to make it viable for show use. Deadmau is a dj. He pushes buttons, but he's still a dj. He's also a producer. BUT the fact is, he is only ADDING sound effects to a pre-recorded soundtrak that he put together. Look up touch screen djing and you will see djs do it all.

All of the images are sounds, midi samples, different pitches and anything he wants it to be

@uclalaker2009 The team at HoloDesk interactive started to build the HoloDesk surface (actually two units) 12 months ago so it would reach London in time. It was a hectic time to say the least and what a journey since then!

@TheDrew2639 Hi Drew The system Deadmau5 used is the HoloDesk manufactured by ICE AV Tech in New Zealand. The software used was a custom application developed for the concert. The system is not called a Holodeck or Emulator, though can be used with the DJ software called Emulator.
