@EloTheMan1 If you can spare a few extra dollars, the Xperia Pro is definitely worth it. I've had the Mini Pro for a few months and I'm sure it's a fine phone when it works. Mine didn't. Not very well, at least. Connection problems to both 3G and WiFi, and I kept wishing the screen was bigger. If you can afford it, get the Pro. That's my tip.

if this is like the se xperia so called flagship phone two years ago, it will never be updated because se own software is too hard to keep up to speed with new android platforms. be aware of the update scams. i loved my old se experia but fell out of love with se. dam you se i want this new phone but not prepared to take the risk!!!! and yes they kept promising the up dates in the next quater( it didn't happen).

@louis4151 It is much better, with a better processor, superior screen quality and better multitasking. But in my opinion it isn't worth nearly double the price. For the needs that you mentioned, the Xperia more than suffices. As well, The Pro is lighter and also has a more comfortable keyboard.

Overall, the Xperia Pro is good, isnt it? The feel, durability, battery life, camera and everything..

Yes, it's good. Keep that in mind. It isn't by any stretch outstanding or the best. It is simply good and above average in nearly every category.

@farhan9898 If you prefer a keyboard for your texting, then go with this one. You won't be disappointed. But if you can do without a keyboard, the Optimus 3D is better suited for your movie watching with the larger screen

@gusi313 I would definitely go with this one. The operating system in the E7 is quite dated and has much less flexibility than Android, albeit the hardware and build quality of the E7 is definitely superior.

@niragaje It's limited of course, it's a phone after all and not a DSLR. But I found that being a backlit CMOS sensor, it performed quite well. The images aren't excellent, but they are manageable and definitely acceptable from a phone.

Am I supposed to upgrade something out of the package or should it auto come with it? Nice review... Couple of questions though, how is it in comparison to the HTC Desire Z? Mainly how does it compare keyboard-wise, and is the build quality as good as on the Desire Z(hinge etc)?

I like this phone, and want to buy it, but in my area the price difference between the Desire Z and Xperia Pro is huge (410 euros vs 290 euros for the Desire Z), and I'm not sure that the Xperia Pro is worth that much more just for the camera, a little faster CPU and announced Android 4.0 support.

@dule0911 It's future proof, I personally think the difference is worth it, though I recommend going with a dual core phone at that price range. Build quality is solid though, hinge is much better than Desire Z, though the HTC has a nicer coating on the exterior.
