The best way to travel is, when your laying down to sleep, just keep imagining the room around you. Wether the room is light or dark imagine it as it is. As you fall asleep keep the image of the room in your mind. Soon you will be sleeping and enter a dream state where you are in the room. Keep trying this and after a while you can walk around and eventually leave the house, and see other places on the astral plain.
I once woke up when my body was still in the state of paralysis. It was very disconcerting and at the time I did not realise what had happened. I kept trying to move but couldn't.
I have never had a conscious out of body experience. I think it would be quite an experience especially if I could chose where to go. I'd take a look at the far side of the Moon.
It can be any object often what is recommend is your heart. Once object has been picked hold it and keep with that object the whole time for the traditional concentration method for leaving your body.
Hold concentration when going to bed (go to bed earlier than usual). That way you are more awake and won't just fall asleep. Pick an Object and concentrate on it intensly and don't waver from conccentration. If you face itches continue concentrating, if something tries to distract hold on to the concentration. At the end you will reach your goal.
There are many workable methods I have used in the past. This is an easy introductory way.

I really want to have this experience. My mom told me that "I said I want to be above" after I came out a coma I had when I was 4. When i was like 5 i probably experienced an astral projection im not sure tho, i was trying to go t sleep and then i got slowly paralyzed i started to sense something and i felt wierd but didnt fell anything then i felt something pulling me by my legs out of the bed i couldnt move but i've seen faces and hands but they didnt look human then i got unparalzyed and qucikly jumped out of the bed and runned to my parents room(im 16 and i still remember it so im sure it wasnt a bad dream)

Introverts, individuals with aspergers, autism etc. live in their minds constantly anyway. What is your source on astral hell? Wouldn't these spirits or beings or portals be agents of spontaneity since we cannot sense them? Who is attacking us? Why? The devil? As for being changed permanently, many events in my life have done so. Abuse, relationships, experiences. Astral projection is another experience. If it is that bad for us, I don't think we would have the ability in the first place.

As I told, astral light is polarizing our original inner light. People who do astral will change their personality. They will never be the same . They slowely leave living in the body and be living in the mind only. Original me that way you were born will be gone forever. All experiences of the heart will be different. After death you will get stuck in there, in astral dark hell. Think about it people, specialy around 2012 when many of us will die.

Now you are complaining that ALL expirerence are bad for us, there are many many people who have great things done with this astral projection no matter what time it was , like in the evening or when the sun is shining or whatever,, when you have astral projection you always are connected with your material psycial body so you could return whenever you want to .

I'm at the stage where I believe in what quantum physics, taoism, meditation, eating healthy has to offer for a spiritual experience. I don't really know how to meditate so i just sit indian style and try to straighton my back, but it hurts... so i'm glad it works laying down as someone has written, i think i'll start doing it that way. And now i'm just scared, or get this paranoid feeling when i attempt to do it, so i have to work on getting over it, but i can't wait ..

The best way to travel is, when your laying down to sleep, just keep imagining the room around you. Wether the room is light or dark imagine it as it is. As you fall asleep keep the image of the room in your mind. Soon you will be sleeping and enter a dream state where you are in the room. Keep trying this and after a while you can walk around and eventually leave the house, and see other places on the astral plain.

I once woke up when my body was still in the state of paralysis. It was very disconcerting and at the time I did not realise what had happened. I kept trying to move but couldn't.
I have never had a conscious out of body experience. I think it would be quite an experience especially if I could chose where to go. I'd take a look at the far side of the Moon.

Hold concentration when going to bed (go to bed earlier than usual). That way you are more awake and won't just fall asleep. Pick an Object and concentrate on it intensly and don't waver from conccentration. If you face itches continue concentrating, if something tries to distract hold on to the concentration. At the end you will reach your goal.
There are many workable methods I have used in the past. This is an easy introductory way.

ive had about 20 spontaneous obes of fairly short duration that i little control over.
19 were awesome but 1 time i was stuck in the paralysis and a dark energy attached itself to my neck & it felt like a vampire-ish experience.
the other 19 times were so awesome that i still recommend looking into the obe techniques for your own experience !

I've tried to intentionally have an obe but it never happens like that they seem to come without planning, I used to be afraid of them but just recently I let it go through, where I heard this loud roaring then i started shaking after that I seen a tunnel with strange blue light around it at the end was a light then i sonic boom to end of it! I felt as if i was spread out i seen life particles grouping like tuna fish creating what it seem like matter or molecules it tripped me out!

I really want to have this experience. My mom told me that "I said I want to be above" after I came out a coma I had when I was 4. I have had sleep paralysis a couple of times (blanketed once) and recently I had a episode where I dreamed I pulled myself out of my bed although I know I was asleep. I found out it was a dream because my departed dad was in it and I recognized that in the dream. With that said I still believe that these experiences that you all have are more than just dreams.

i had a few dreams where i fealt paralyzed and I found it strange because I saw my arm and if i was sleeping how could i see my arm if I couldnt move my head. I remember trying to move my body but I couldnt and freaked out! In my dream I was about to jump into a pool of water and when I got into the water i thought i was drowning then tryed to wake up but couldnt becuz i fealt paralyzed but im wondering if that was an out of body experiane
