This is awesome! I'd love to do this with some old Sierra games that didn't have a talkie version like Conquests of the Longbow. What's the process for this? Will the interpreter from another "talkie" game automatically play the speech associated with the text?
@brandon9271 I did this using a program called ScummSpeaks. I don't understand entirely how it works, but apparently in the version of the engine used in Fate of Atlantis, it automatically plays a sound if the text has some type of coding in it. But Sierra games probably work differently. Apparently, it requires modifying the game's scripts (as in the programming type.)
Well, this was just a test to see if it was possible without using SCUMMVM. If you want to have speech in MI2, you should wait for the Monkey Island Speech Project to get around to doing MI2.
