Yes, two small tables put together - don't know what wood they are made of. It made a good solid surface anyway! This tweed was woven in the Borders, given to us by Redshank Kiltmaker in Inveraray. In the Hebrides they would have woven their own cloth, as most families had a loom; but here in Argyll they would have taken their homespun yarn to the local weaver. There was a weaver living in Auchindrain township in the nineteenth century.
