doing this will baerly get any programs whatsoever to work again. trust me, i have vista and none of my games work on it even with administrative privilages and compatibility mode. at least when its not in compatibility mode i can get the game to start for longer than when it IS in compatibility mode WTF microshit! dont listen to the retard in the vid he doesnt actually no anything about vista, he just tries to look smart when he looks and sounds like a stupid american nob. which vista are you using ?? you might need to use Ultimate Edition of Vista. Lot of things are disabled by default in all other editions.

This may work or not at all, I just know i had the same problem with Maya 7.0 and have to change the program to run in a different mode.

So maybe it will work for bf1942.

Go to your Icon and right click. in the menu go to Compatibility and down in Run this program in compatibility mode for: change it to what 2000.

As sayed before it my help or make it worse but u can always take the V away and go back to defult. best of luck! :)

I tried running my games: Cosmo, Duke Nukem, and Wolf 3D on Vista without luck. The same message pops up: "This system does not support fullscreen mode. Choose 'close' to terminate the application." .... Any ideas? the compatibility thing did not work.

instead of listening this video when you want a game or a program go check on internet there's many list of programs and games and even material that won't work with vista 64bits because of the drivers don't or will never be available. if you want some links for those list i'll send them to you np

dude everyone knows that! and you don't even speak of 32bits or 64bits wich is another problem for some programs like myst 5 that won't run on a 64bits whatever you try because of the drivers.
