They sold/got rid of saturn pontaic hummer (gm still produces the racing hummer models for big off road races like the Dakar rally and models for the armed forces) and Saab (owned by gm but was made in sweeden). There's a reason for saying 'they don't make em like they used to' and it's because they used to make em like crap. A 67 Camaro has NOTHING on this beast. A 2010 Camaro would smoke a 67 in terms of handling, braking, and probably acceleration. The only good use of a 67 is a hobby car to fix up, but it costs a buttload more time and money than just buying a nice ready to roll 2010 SS for 30k.
This car is going to be bad ass. I am sure that it will smoke the hell out of the SRT8 challenger but the GT500 might give it some hell if not be a little bit quicker.
The GT500 is going to give it a lot of hell. It has a lot more HP and weighs less. The 2010 GT500 has even MORE HP than the current ones with a more efficient blower (Eaton TVS). The SRT8 is a better match for HP and weight.
GT500 does have more power but it weighs 3800lbs it is REALLY heavy unless they are lightening up the newer models it is alot heavier than what the camaro will be.

If it has CTS-V suspension and possibly drivetrain, forget about the drivetrain. I had a CTS-V and as most know, the rearends are worthless. Hope they've beefed that up. Also the T56 tremec tranny was trash. Hope they don't use that in the Camaro either.

LOL They had Jay Leno do this I think because he worked with GM's Cadillac division to help develop the Cadillac Ecojet. That 400 HP LS2 if you got about 100K you can send it to Lingenfelter they can pull 725HP out of it. They did it with the 06 Corvette with the same motor.
