For other questions on how many times they do this to guys in the academy. Usually they do this part of the training towards the end of the academy. And they only get tased once. They also get maced and gased.

it is because a police officer shot to stop the threat, to kill.. You don't really want to know how painful it is to be shot.

when you use the OC or the taser, you must know what it does to use it in properly.

What state makes the officers get tased to use them?? Because here in Colorado its not manditory to get tased...tehy seem to think, you dont need to be shot to carry a gun.

Believe me, we used the same argument. In MN it's just their way of beating you into the gang. I really feel bad for the guys who had to take the full 5 at skills, and then had to take it again when they got hired on with a department.
